Recently bought a DVD box set off a well known DVD store based on the mainland (I live in TAS), and quoted me 2-5 days delivery.

This was about 2 weeks ago, so I think the parcel MAY have got lost in the post. As a registered business, do you think they would have to ensure that all customers get their parcels? or would it be like ebay where sellers are not liable for any Postal mistakes??

Anybody know??

Contact who you bought it off. I'm pretty sure that it would have been insured, and Telstra will have to cover costs. They company should give you a number of some sorts, and you can take that to Australia Post and they will track it down for you. If they can't find it, then they will refund the cost.

This actually remind me when Aust. Post lost some goods I was selling COD (Cash On Delivery), and Telstra lost the goods, so I was out of pocket. Anyway, they wouldn't pay what I believed was market value for the goods, but in the end I got about $110, of the $170 that was owing to me. If the person I had sent to has paid for it before I sent it, then the person that was buying it could have claimed, but because I sent it COD, it meant I didn't have any money for it yet, so I was the one claiming the money.
