GWS v´s Sydney this week, then Carlton v´s Richmond thursday night next week then other games follow.........is there a double lock out can some with the knowledge answer this. Can we exploit the VC exploit in the 1st and 2nd games before the season proper.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

Partial lockout. The captain is automatically selected so the only way you could use the loophole is then transfer the captaincy to someone who isn't playing and you don't want to be carrying someone in your side that isn't picked round 1.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

Oh my........

Hey smartarse, I want to know if I can use it in the Carl v Richmond game is that a crime. Some of us here havnt got the 100hrs before the start of the season to read the many many posts on nummerous sites to get the answer.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

steady on

OH my comment is unwarranted Gav.......if one uses the energy to type that, whats another 1 minute to answer my question decently without looking like a legend.
This seasons start is unusual where there is a sole game in one weekend then has its 2nd game on a thursday night (when other teams name their respective teams names their sides that evening) so if I react to a 2 second legend in ones own mind to a disrespectable answer I think its fair play.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

What am I answering? I presume when you say VC exploit, you are planning to put it on someone in the Rich/Carl game and then swapping your C to a non-playing player, then yes, you can do that as long as you didnt leave the C on a Syd/GWS/Rich/Carl player.

Lots of angst in here, let's all just play nice eh?

Oh and yes it was a stupid question, RTMF.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

The answer is yes, there are 2 partial lockouts.

So yes you will be able to edit your team after the Blues Tigers games (except for Syd/GWS/Car/RIC players of course).

If you need official confirmation it is actually explained when you click on the 'Read more - Guides, Help and FAQS' link in SC.

Trading After Sat Night

Hey guys, this is probably a stupid question, but say after the first game i dont want ellis anymore and want to get in Heath Shaw will that count as a trade due to the partial lockout or am I free to change as long as they are not GWS/Sydney Players?

You can make as many changes as you like to the team up until the Hawthorn v Collingwood game next Friday night. GWS/Sydney players will be locked in/out after their match starts as will Richmond/Carlton players next Thursday night. All other players are open.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

quick question, can GWS players who are on my bench be subbed onto the starting field after their game

eg: sheils gets 100 and hes on my bench so can i sub him on for before next weeks games.

No from what I understand GWS/SYD/RICH/CARL players are locked where you put them once their games start.

At first I laughed at this question, but then I thought about it more.

Up front, NO - of course you can't move him from the bench onto the field after the partial lockout.

But it can be achieved if your other mid bench player is not playing Rd 1 (not going to debate the philosophy behind this, other than agree with the masses that it's a bad idea). Make Shiel your emergency and if he scores well, put the other (zero) bench player on the ground for a rookie that you had originally selected on the ground. The non-player is thus replaced by Shiel's score.

Re: Is there a double lockout this week??

if it rains like reeeal heavy do they use the duckworth lewis system in sc or the ol how many spanners in
your sidchrome toolkit trick?

Every game is worth the same amount of points if that's what you're asking? So rain won't affect how many points are awarded.

How do emergencies work with the lockouts?

Can I change the emergencies throughout the week? What about if the emergency was set on a GWS player?

My question in regards to this weekend,is will your side be open to view in your leagues to your opposition? I don't want people checking my side out to give them any ideas a week early

no, i don't thinkso. they will only be able to see your score of the players you had from the syd v gws game through out the week up until next weeks lockout after carlton v richmond, after that they'll be able to see your team.

Thanks Ed

I have a few prying eyes travelling that are out of the loop at the moment. I wouldn't put past a cut and paste job if my entire current squad was open to view this weekend....
