Was up at Maloolah a few yrs back with some younger rellies and friends, went to a party where the 'normal' stuff happened and a few people got a bit carried away and the cops showed up at Midnight(when we scarpared , thanks for the home made tia maria!!) A few of us saw the guy who rented this place a couple weeks later and he said "we'll just have a nice quiet party , no ********s" Got there at 7pm and the cops are already there!!! We turned around and went home to get smashed there instead. Found out from the local real estate guys son a couple weeks later that walls got smashed in(more than 1 by the sounds of it!!) and the guys there got tossed out.

PK I never made it through the list entirely, but ended up with a 'guarantee' most nights I went out for the next few months as I worked my way through.

Was some curious conversations though. (names changed obviously)

"Hey, is that Amy? Yeah, remember Alice's party last weekend/month/etc? We hooked up on the couch, *random blah cut*. I'm heading to ** tonight about 11, I'll see you there."

Brilliant when I'm sitting with mates at 10, and then some random girl just walks over says hi and later we leave together, without me ever leaving the couch. Especially if one of them had a shot at her on the way in.

Sadly, you're not 19* forever. (19* = 17 through to about 21 when I got engaged).

I went to one party where the host's wife and his mother had a disagreement over the food - and he supported his mother! Needless to say, his wife ran off crying to the bedroom, and we did not see her again the rest of the night.

A work colleague said she went to a dinner party once, where the hostess and her husband had an argument in front of everyone. The hostess won the fight, and the husband spent the rest of the evening outside sulking in the car.

Another girl I worked with years ago had a brother whose relationship with his girlfriend was tempestuous at best. They had been together since the middle of high school, but they had ruined for each other both of their 18th birthdays, their 21sts, their engagement party and finally their wedding with their incessant arguing.
