A tall halfback hailing from Kalgoorlie, Todd Holmes spent three years on West Coast’s list in the late 1990s after being drafted from Subiaco.

Holmes made his debut in a loss to Richmond at the MCG early in the 1998 season, and played the following two matches before being dropped after failing to tally a possession in a narrow loss to Adelaide. His next senior game came against Carlton more than a year later, when he again failed to get a touch. He was given two more games later in the 1999 season, but spent most of the year with Claremont under the host club arrangement.

Subiaco regained Holmes’ services in 2000 and got plenty of use out of him, with the left-footer making just one senior appearance against the Lions at the Gabba. At the end of the 2000 season Holmes was delisted, having tallied just seven games in blue and gold.

He ended his AFL career having never kicked a goal, having never sung the team song to celebrate a win, and having never managed double figure possessions.

Notwithstanding his lack of success at the top level, Holmes finished a decorated career at Subiaco as a dual premiership player after featuring in their 2004 and 2006 victories.

Where is he now? Still involved with Subiaco as a development coach under former teammate Chris Waterman.

I don't remember him at all.

I remember this guy. He and David Haynes played around the same time iirc. Our drafting didn't seem to be that good in the late 90s

Well in the same draft we got Jaxon Crabb, Callum Chambers, Rowan Jones, Andrew Williams, Phil Read and David Antonowicz...;)
