Firstly, I was at the game, and while it wasn't a pretty game, it was a game none the less. Unlike many people, I didn't think it would be a blow out, however I thought we would have won by more. But full credit to your boys.

They played for the jumper and for each other today. And the amount of Melbourne supporters at the MCG was phenominal. Despite threatening rain, you still turned up, with half your forward line gone, you still turned up, despite people predicting record margins, you still turned up.

The way you as the supporter base, the players and the club in general conducted yourselves today was fantastic. To honour your club and give it your all. And you certainly did.

Congratulations and good luck with the rest of the season, I'm sure you will notch up a few wins. And I reckon you will knock off Richmond TBH. :thumbsu:

Good luck :)

Thanks - it's good to get some complements from a Collingwood supporter. You have your share of scumbags (even we have a few) but no doubt not all fit the stereotype.

I can say with confidence that all the MFC supporters there were happy with the efforts of our club both on and off the field - it was a great day. It would have been better to have won but we can't question the effort of the team.

Also, To be honest, I thought the number of Magpie fans was down on previous QB games. If the usual 45,000+ had turned up, the attendance would have been well over 70K. Still, 60,000 was OK considering the weather and the expected blow-out.

Let's hope that the less regular MFC members and fans who turned up will be inspired to attend more games in the reminder of the season.
