How about the fact that Geary stepped up and was good under pressure in game 1?

CLinton Jones running with the flight of the ball to effictivley win us the game?

Sam Fisher yet again have a great game.

CJ was great with his courage no doubt. But his disposal is woeful and he is indicisve. Yet to be convinced

How about us kicking 6 goals for the game? Or kicking 2 goals in the first 5 minutes and then 4 more for the rest of the game? Or our entire team flooding back into the swans 50 in the FIRST quarter? Or players winning the ball on half back, looking up and having NOTHING to kick to because everyone is behind the ball?

I'm not trying to just be negative but i was just really dissapointed with how we played tonight, where was the positive football??? I hope we can find it next week, because tonight was just shocking. We will not beat anyone good like that. Fast, attacking sides (like we should be) will smash us.....

I admit, it wasn't the prettiest match I have ever seen, but in he end, winning by 2 points in a low scoring affair has the same result as winning by 40 in a high scoring game as far as premiership points go.

Six gettable goals in last quarter and some poor mistakes. We were very lucy to win.

Lets persist with the youth, armitage and co, that was the excitment in pre-season. Forget r.clark, fiora, milne. They are all hopeless under pressure games.

Last night was a horrible game to watch, but its just the way Sydney play the game, although there was major flaws in our game that were very obvious last night and Lyon needs to address it.

Its all good to flood everyone back Ross, but MANY times, we were in the defensive 50m and went to look up to kick it to someone, but no one was there. We fell down around the defensive 50m mark and the wings, because of the dumb style of football.

You would think that with all the flooding we would have transfered the ball across the other side of the ground and run with a long kick but we didn't. We didnt run into space.

All we did was these little crappy 15m chip kicks the entire game, and all it takes is 1 kick to screw it up with a turnover for the other team to kick a goal.

Kosi and Roo'y 15m out from goal in the 3rd quarter was a waste of time. We were falling short at the 50m mark. We had Milne and Schnider (Yea, spelling, wateva) as our targets at chf.

I truely miss our old style of game, attacking, direct, actually enjoyable to watch.

6 goals for the entire game is a poor effort. We all know how important percentage is as well, so if you dont step up the game Ross, forget playing finals this year. Having said all this, it is only the first game, and it was against Sydney, so we'll see how we go next week, but I cant stand watching another game again like tonight.

The way to beat Sydney is to move the ball long and fast, so they cannot run/flood back. In the end, we won, but should have lost last night. After watching last night, im in fear of loosing to Carlton. Gone were the days of smashing them by 100 points, we were lucky to win with Ross last year against carlton
