Watching 360. Robbo sounds more concussed than Paddy...
Dr expert Robbo can get stuffed already, the sensation seeking little worm.

Hope Paddy is feeling okay and gets back in however long it safely takes and stays there. He's very gifted. Has a kind of Plugger look from time to time. He will be very good indeed. I have no doubt everyone involved is being very careful with him so I hope he enjoys a rest up, keeps developing and launches again.

Don't you just love that he quoted "Dr" Dermott!!!

That was almost unbelievable, except for being believable somehow. I really hate it when he goes full rubberneck couched under some manufactured concern.

Robbo and Dermie know less about Paddy's medical condition than Robbo knows about sobriety or Dermie knows about good fashion sense [emoji849]

Not sure if it's already been suggested, but how about we play Paddy as a key defender for the rest of the year instead of in the forward line? It'll give us that tall option we so desperately need, it'll at least get his games and experience up, and should help him steer clear of getting concussed when he's just going for spoils or intercept marks.

The way Paddy plays, there is more of a chance of him getting ko'd in defence than up forward!

Stick a fork in him for this year and let him rest/recover from the hits and have him raring to go come day 1 of pre season.

Are you joking? If you're not, I'm guessing you've had more concussions than Paddy.

He said last night...
'I mean, we are in year 20 thousand and 16 fur Christ sake.'

Lol. I actually dont mind him, seems like a decent enough bloke. However it is baffling he has done so well for himself. Genuinely struggles to construct a sentence; just waves a pen around for an hour a night waffling on about nothing.

So Richo is saying that he passed the cognitive test on the day, but they were extra careful with him and kept him off for the rest of the game. I think this was the case with the Collingwood hit as well.

It sounds like the club is just being super carefull, which I think is a really good thing.

It also hopefully means that it isn't is worrying as first thought.

I think the club is very cautious not to pull another Kosi by mismanaging players, particually early in their career. Missing a game here and there might mean the difference of a hundred games longer career.

Yeah I think some of his concussions have been quite minor and by all accounts he's recovered OK from the one last week.

From what I've heard he should play again this season, when that will be who knows but hopefully he can put these issues behind him.

The medical staff will no doubt be careful with him but you can't wrap him in cotton wool indefinitely either and I'm sure he wants to play ASAP.

Notice Ted Richards wearing head gear tonight. If its good enough for half the Rugby & League players in the world, it must help. Regardless of what so called informed posters have mentioned I hope Paddy takes his lead and dons the head gear.

For me any absorption and padding has got to HELP!

In regards to Paddy wearing a helmet.
Yeah i know American footy has proven helmets dont totally protect against concussions.
But with most of Paddys knocks being from glancing fist/elbows in pack marks SURELY its a no brainer that he wears a helmet??
Give hime a bit of a rest. Get a helmet on his head and get him back on the ground:thumbsu:

Overall i think most players who have copped a few concussions leave it much too late to wear a helmet.
Nathan Burke did it correctly. Got a few bad knocks early in career and put one straight on. Absolute bone jarring hits which slosh the brain around in the head arent quite as regular in AFL compared to NFL. Its just my opinion but i think helmets would work better in our game.
Time to drop the macho image and just wear one after a couple of knocks i think.

This is the most important information to come out of this situation.

He passed the test. I like that we are being extra cautious and trying to protect players but it's getting way too dramatic because of media involvement.

I've played rugby union and a lot of tall 2nd row rugby players wear head gear due to the whacks they cop jumping in the line out and in scrums.

It definitely helps with head knocks.

I wore head gear a few times, not for concussion, I wore it to protect a cut on my head with stitches and I didn't like it as it didn't fit properly.

They just need to tailor make a head gear for Paddy that fits him and that has red white and black stripes on it and he will be good to go.

A 2016 version of the Phil Narkle helmet.

All sounds very nice although as someone mentioned earlier he clearly went straight into "stiff arm " mode which indicates more than just a little head knock.

Only when I'm watching saints games

I have a special room for watching Saints games, it is called the garage away the wife and kids. Equipped with big screen, beer fridge, nothing I can break, and a home gym if I need to move something to vent frustration. I have managed to perform a couple of PB's on the deadlift during Saints games this year. #thanksGears

Highly therapeutic exercise for half time interstate matches.
