Can anyone see Bower getting drafted by another side now hes been delisted by Carlton

Still pretty young and will be a good pick up in my opinion.
I thought we were interested in him a few years back

Hello, Peter. As you can know, Paul Bower has been delisted for a while and become an unrestricted free agent in the free agency period, so I'm sure there is one interesting club on the hunt for Bower and see my official delisted free agency period and that's my first and only I'm gonna spammed, sorry.

doubt it, had a good opportunity this year and still managed to butcher it every time he was in possession of the ball.

If you watch a replay of the Blues v Dogs game from round 17 you can actually see the moment where Bower's career in navy blue ends.

He went back with the flight, got a bit worried, flinched, the ball bounced off his head and into the arms of Grant, who slotted the Dogs' 6th and began a run of three goals.

It's a shame because he was a very serviceable 3rd man up in the backline when he was playing well. His 2009 form was outstanding. Had real trouble with soft tissue injuries in his legs however, and his decision making was always a bit suspect. Every time he touched the ball it was an adventure though - you never knew what was going to happen.

He would either cause a shocking turnover or really break the play open with his risk-taking.

Wouldn't be shocked if Freo or the Eagles threw him a lifeline.

You've got to be kidding:eek: He should never have been on an AFL list to start with!

Sounds like half of your squad.

Bower was developing nicely until he was hit by injuries about 3 years back and has never had the continuity in his football since.

He is not a key defender but would be a better 3rd tall like. I think he will get another chance, probably on the rookie list.

Every club would have taken Bower at some point in the 2005 draft. Bower was an AA junior. Since he's a defender, his intensity and body work is more of a problem than his decision making and disposal. Isn't as tough as Laidler, Bootsma, Simon White and Andy McInnes who are a similar size.

His body is right now after two horror years, but his confidence is shot. Needs the other shoe to drop before he can start getting better. Being delisted could be it, or more likely a year in one of the lower leagues with some real continuity.

His disposal isn't as bad as it looks. He doesn't have the confidence to short pass, but when he kicks long you can see the technique isn't bad. He's also tall, quick, and likes to run.

I don't think any of his deficiencies are bigger than his decision making unfortunately. Is an otherwise well-rounded player.
It wouldn't be as big a hindrance if he attacked the ball and the man like his life depended on it. As long as he defends first and uses the KISS policy, then he could get back to the player he was three years ago. OK if he can run and get it to your sweepers and mids who can kick.

Always loved his runs from the backline. :)

Hilarious to see the umpire allow Bower to move the ball around the point post at 4.45 and then run away with it. :D

If you're going to troll try to come up with something at least half intelligent:rolleyes:
How do you know the tigers aren't looking at him.

It seems Hardwick's policy is picking up mature players who struggle for game time elsewhere.

1 We don't have any room on our list. Any player who up until last week we thought might be delisted e.g. White/Derickx/Mcguane each signed contracts this week:(

2 Picking up mature players on the rookie list is for midfielders only

Settle down asian, merely commenting on several tigers' fans obvious dislike of him and the real chance they may have to "pretend" to like him soon

And I'm simply commenting on your lack of intelligence regarding Richmond's recruiting policyo_O
