How many weeks for Curtis?

Pinned both arms resulting in Sinn going head first and being subbed out with concussion?

As per the guidelines, pinning the arms is considered placing the opponent in a vulnerable position with little/no ability to protect themselves.

Due to concussion, impact would be classed as severe and equaling 3 weeks.

Looks like Sinn's knees dropping into the turf propelled him forward more than Curtis did. But we know it's an outcome based process, so he'll get weeks.

If you slow it down you can see Curtis drops his own body weight as soon as he makes the tackle - he doesn't drive Sinn forward. It's difficult to understand what he could have done differently tbh.

Has to be 3 unfortunately.

Stupidest rule, and extremely stupid outcome based rule, but if you say it’s careless because he pinned the arms how can you give it any less than high impact?

It's difficult to understand what he could have done differently tbh.

The expectation is that a player is required to make all effort to ensure a player is not concussed via a tackle, expecting that in this case Curtis should have turned the player to avoid head contact with the ground.

Although we live in the real world good luck with a split second moment to act. I didn't see that as a reportable/MRO incident based on player intent, but yes as stated these days it's outcome based.

Could only be 3 or 0 with the system in place
Yep, the system is stuffed. If I was the coach, I'd be asking my players to execute a tackle like that every time. Was he only meant to tackle one arm? It was so instantaneous and the player already heading to ground that trying to "turn him" is nigh on impossible.

But it has to be 3 weeks with the "results based" system. I've just about had it with this game. The AFL can GAGF and I'll go find another sport to follow.

And Curtis should get another 3 weeks suspension for executing a run down tackle and basically doing the same thing later in the game. But that player didn't get concussed, so it's a free kick to Curtis instead.

Lay a legal tackle and if he doesn’t get injured you’re fine.

Lay the exact same legal tackle and if he gets injured you’re banned.

An outcome based model has been brought in by the AFL as it has no idea how to deal with the concussion issue and wants to wipe its hands off it.

Pushing responsibility to the players whilst trying to maintain control over every other aspect like an OCD mother in law.

Mickey mouse league at it's finest.
Curtis given 3 weeks for that is an absolute disgrace

You just know Cripps or a Daicos wouldn't get a second look for the same thing.

The AFL is going to lose fans more and more with this shit.
