Won Kyabram FC senior best and fairest in 2002 as an 18 year old and finished fourth in Kyabram’s best and fairest this year after regularly kicking bags of goals and missing some games through injury/rep matches. He is regarded as a star forward in the Goulbern Valley region, having played in the country championships, which included kicking 5 goals on the MCG on the Queen’s Birthday weekend. He was sought after mid year by the Sandringham FC to join their list prior to the VFL final list submissions due on June 30th. He declined that offer and finished the year with Kyabram before doing pre-season at Melbourne. Described as being very strong overhead and rated highly by Country Championships coach Rodney Eade.
