Yep it's like the Vince one in a way. The fact that he was a good player and had currency meant he got squeezed out. If he was worse we'd have kept him.

- we want more traction in this draft
- he's uncontracted
- we have Smith coming back who's a similar-ish player
- Milera has come on this season
- Seedsman has some injury history
- He's not one of the annointed Douglas, Mackay player set the club is in love with
- He's Victorian
- Unlike several other players he has currency and will have suitors
- we've already signed other potential trade/FA compo options like Lynch, Sloane to long term deals

And above all else
- if Seedsman stays it will be hard to keep Mackay in the 22

Exactly! He announced earlier this year that his main bodily problem had been fixed, and has been playing well. Operation successful: keep him. He has spark, kick, and X-factor, just what we need.

Perfect trade bait. Good player - value at its peak - out of contract. His elite kicking hides his lack of tackling/pressure and we have enough of those players already. Turn him into a 1st round pick upgrade or a ruck trade and I’d be fine with that. Otherwise happy to keep him.

I think he hassles well and also takes up good defensive position and structure on outside to close off exits

Might not be as fierce a tackler as CEY Greenwood and Gibbs but he transitions better defensively than all of them

Absolutely.

Seed doesn't think twice about the contest or tackling when he is in tight & is not known for getting outpointed.
