Hopefully not along side Matty White's brain fade in the goal square :p

But yeah, funny watching Pav trip over his nose :D

I think we made him do it. I can't have been the only one thinking "TRIP YOU PRICK" as he ran in.

Spooky mind powers.

that was the footy gods squaring up after they kicked their first 3 goals from free kicks, Note the commentators failed to even mention that stat:confused:

Don't want to come across as sour or anything, you guys completely outplayed us in the second half and did very well, especially with two men down.

But this comment just confuses me? Just because they're free kicks, doesn't mean they're not deserved. Stephen Hill was evidently being held off the ball at the contest. The Pavlich one was a tad soft but you could see why the umpire paid it, was being held off the ball. And then there was one for Ballantyne in which Jackson was reported.

Why would 'the footy gods' want to even up three legitimate free kicks? It was just unfortunate for Richmond that they occured in front of the goals.

Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the year. :thumbsu:

Hellooo FFS... Jack Riewoldt board, with two eyes open. Can see where Silvagni learnt his trade. Fine, they can pay those soft free kicks in front of goal if they're f'ing consistent! Cheers :thumbsu:

umm, coz the same legitimacy wasn't reciprocated at the other end when JR8's opponent was all over him like a cheap suit on countless occasions

You are taking the piss aren't you? Both of Fremantles first two goals were soft they happen nearly every contest and very rarely get paid especially in the forwad line. Both were as soft as butter that has been left out of the fridge for a couple of days.

Third goal well I guess we will never know as there was no vision of it and let's also point out quickly that Fremantles fourth goal came straight after a ball up after King had been tackled high that even the commentators who have a major dislike for Richmond were surprised that he wasn't given a free for.

Stephen Hill was quite clearly being held at the contest, i'm not sure how that one was soft. The Pavlich one was, as i mentioned, fairly soft. But still, the richmond player had no eyes for the ball, and impeded his attempt at the contest.

Mate, if you're going to try and bring up specific instances of missed free kicks, there are plenty that work in your favour. Such as Micheal Johnsons tackle on Matt White that should have been holding the ball. Such as a 50m penalty against De Boer when the richmond player initiated the contact. It goes both ways champ.

So in effect, you're just unhappy because Riewoldt didn't get paid free kicks, which is quite different to what you said about Fremantle's first 3 goals. My apologies for missing the underlying meaning of your post.

i realise it may not be your intention but sour grapes partner...my point was, generally speaking more interference than that is required to warrant a free. anf if not then why was not the same applied liberally down the other end, unless you are suggesting silvagni was nowhere near JR

Look, being an opposition supporter, I don't actively watch to see when players from my team infringe on players of your team - for instance, I'm sure you don't notice when your ruckmen hang off of Sandilands at ruck contests and think "that should be a free kick" - so I can't recall individual incidents which you are trying to refer to.

But even so, inconsistency's in umpiring interpretations occur in every game, and favour both sides.
