PDF Image files to PDF Searchable

Can it be done?

I've found plenty that convert a PDF searchable into a txt or word document, and also lots that go from PDF Searchable to an image file (.tiff, jpg, etc)....and even some that go from image file to PDF (image file).

IS there anything that goes from PDF image file to PDF Searchable (OCR?) that is freeware/shareware/not $500??

I bought the program Able2Extract Professional for work (approx $100 USD) and it works well it OCR'ing PDF image files to Word files. You could then easily republish as searchable PDF files.

Not free, but less than $500.

You could always try and acquire it via torrents (i;ve got no idea it its available as i said my copy was paid for by work so no need for that)
