Another good game at AAMI from Peake today. IIRC he's had a few blinders there over the past couple of years. Could be a chance for a trade to Port or the Crows?

Why would you trade him? He's a matchwinner when he plays like this.

Because he only seems to do it in Adelaide and we only get 2 games a year there. He's had two decent games against two bottom sides. He doesn't perform when it counts or against decent opposition. I don't think we'd get much for him from anyone, but at least he's shown his best against them at their home ground.

He had a dreadful start to the year, confidence at all time low and he's gradually worked his way into it. His field kicking was superb today and his decision making was crisp and generally good. Has too much talent to be discarded at this point.

Has some bad patches, we've had a horrid year, but still reckon peake should stay on. Pav out today was a blessing[not that I'd want him out for extended periods] as everyone had to step up. Peake really stood up.

Bingo. The Peake detractors should take off their blinkers. Had a great game.

I don't think anyone is saying he had a bad game, the point of this thread was to point out that he more often than not does have a good game in Adelaide. Unfortunately the same can't be said for anywhere else. Given we need to find some consistent performers, he could be an option for trade.

He is good to watch when he is on fire and we are playing well. When you have Schammer and Palmer winning the hard ball you need quick outside mids like Peake to receive and use the ball well.

Can he do it on a consistent basis Reveler? I think we'd all love to see him play at his best week in week out, but so far, he's only managed a performance like that once or twice this year. If this team is going to go anywhere in the next couple of years players like Peake need to dramatically narrow the gap between their best (which is very good) and their worst (which is not even WAFL reserves level) or they need to be moved on.

I hope so, but don't think he can. Hopefully when doing the post season review they look at the entire season and not just the form shown in the last few nothing games.

I think the best thing he did on the weekend was actually cut back through the middle.

Usually he runs himself into trouble being coralled towards the boundary but yesterday he used his head and wrong footed players by coming back through the passage.

Very encouraging to see and i hope he keeps it up.

I think 'blinder' is a bit over the top, but 'doing job as 2nd tier player' sounds a bit better. If the 1st tier players are consistant and the 2nd tier players chip in, then we'll have more wins like yesterday.
