Who do you think will turn into that premium supercoach scorer in 2010 that we can pencil down now? Bartel in 2007 and Cooney this year but who will it be next year??

I'd say Pendlebury will take the next step either next year, or 2010.

Given how well he uses the ball, he'll be top 3-5 in SC IMO.

I really don't understand this thread.

You do your sums, do your research, do your homework, analyse statistics, form, fitness, team structure and economics to unearth a player who you are confident will be a deadset 2009 SC god (high-priced but consistently paying off in points) or recruit of the year (modestly-priced but ready to move into elite level and appreciate through the roof) ... and then spill your guts all over the Bigfooty Supercoach subforum.

Those who have done their own work will already have him in mind, making this thread redundant for them ... which means it is only of genuine use to those who are too lazy or inept to work it out for themselves.

Murphy is a shoe in for next year I reckon. Has taken the next step and I can see him being the Cooney of 2009.

Personally, I think the reason as to why Murphy scores well is that the onus is to tag out Judd; hence freeing up other guys i.e. Gibbs + Murphy.

I have been trying to watch the way Murphy has been playing and it seems to me that all he does is wait around the pack waiting for a loose pass from either Judd or Stevens. That's my opinion anyway. Carlton supporters please feel free to correct me but that's my opinion in that Murphy will only score well if these other pivotal midfielders do the dirty work for him.
