scott pendlebury what a champion, he will be the next captain of collingwood, clearly our best player today, and he is only gunna get better:thumbsu:

Was outstanding in the 1st half.

Thought he tired under that heavy workload in the 2nd half. Still good though.

He at least gives a shit and tried to have an influence. Can't say the same for many others.

Can someone explain to me why he spent the first 10 minutes of the second half on the bench when he was clearly our best player and only chance to stay in the game? Was Mick trying to teach other players a lesson?

Will be a club legend.

Had his legs worked on in the second half I believe. Not 100%.

1. May be carrying a slight injury

or

2. MM might have thought they were going to send a tag to him after his 20 touch first half

good player and tried hard but please don't toss around the tag ''champion''... he may be one day but it's at least five years off before he could even be considered

They said on the TV that Pendles felt a bit tight in the thigh during the warm-up after half time, so he signalled to the bench to take him off so that they could work on his thigh.

Pendles>> Leon >> Anthony >> then daylight.

Clearly you blokes didn't see Presti play today and the last 6 (St.Kilda game was tough, against the hottest forward in the league and he gets great delivery).

I reckon O'Brien has been decent as well, and probably won't be long before Sidebottom and Beams are listed as our best players after a whole 6 months at the club.

Some of the little handballs he squirted out today are as good as it gets. Compare that to Shane O'Bree who burns it almost every time he gets it.

Pendles should be captain i like a captain you leads by on field example.
Maxwell can't lead like that because he isn't all that good.

how can you guys all say he is our next captain and a club legend, to many times today he didnt go in and get the hard nut. unlike the carlton players who where 100% commited to get it. fair enough he has good skills and good hands but until he shows some heart, there is no way in hell id make him captain.

well he would be better than the captain we have now atleast Pendles is discipline unlike maxy who gets reported every second week.

Maxwell gets the hard 'nut'. Is he your ideal choice for Collingwoods captain?

Pendles wins lots of contested football. No he doesnt throw his body around like a Joel Selwood, but not many people can. He plays to his strengths and avoids his weaknesses. A smart person knows their strengths and is able to work around their weaknesses. Pendles does extremely well with what weapons he has. Why do we have to see negatives in everyone? Pendles was CLEARLY our best today, yet thats not good enough for some.

What a load of crap. Not every player is a Joel Selwood or a Simon Black who spend a lot of their time under the bottom of packs almost on all fours, Pendles' brilliance lies in his ability to extract the ball while still keeping his feet and balance, as well as being able to be a part of the next bit of play.

Every player is different, and Pendlebury's brilliance lies in his superb decision making and poise, to suggest that he should be charging into every pack head first belies an understanding of the role that he plays and his value to the side.

Pendles is awesome; was brilliant today in a sub-par team performance. Most important player for us this year in order for us to actually win games followed by Leon and Medders.

14 contested possessions. Game high.

Pendles contested possesion and clearance work seems to get better every week. His detractors are starting to look very foolish now.

guys contested possesions just mean he hand passed it off while he was getting tackled. look im not asking for him to be a hard nut but when the time comes he always takes a step back. this is not leading by example as a captain should.
