I don't know if you listen to Percy every Monday morning on Sportfm, whilst I don't agree with everything he says he is a wise old fella that makes a lot of sense. I like his assessment of the Harvey/Lyon situation here //http://www.sportfm.com.au/20110919_percy_johnson.mp3
I hope the link works otherwise you can find it on the SportFM website under interviews. His views here pretty much some up my feelings on the issue as well. Take note there is some praise of the Egirls in this interview as well.

He is an old wise head that openly admits to being a Freo supporter. He gives praise when it is due but quite regularily cuts them to shreds. As you will find if you listen too a couple more of them. The "modern" day commentator could learn a lot from him, he was my favorite when he commentated.

His comments regardingHarvey are pretty spot on . Percy has never been afraid to tell it as it is

Came into this thread thinking MJ had learnt to point with... well, never mind what I thought.

Baha, someone posted it over the other side, in a thread

I clicked on the thread, realised I'd listened to it already, clicked out and...****...it was gone...

Poor Percy...bugger me. Him a Freo legend too. :D

That doesn't make sense. The thread is still there and it was posted by Shane

Wow, agree with everything Percy said!! Echoed my sentiments exactly on Fyfe. Few months ago there was a bit of a humourous observation on here about Fyfe needing to realise that his teammates didn't share his superhuman reflexes, and to calm down a bit with the quick handballs after a mark. I can't remember if he continued doing it to the end of the season but it certainly wasn't immediately addressed by the coaches as it happened in several matches.

I don't want to dig the boot into Harve's any more than it already is but listen to some of the post-game pressers and the common theme is injuries and a hard fixture as excuses, and being competitive for three quarters as a positive. Percy's dead-on in that respect.

We need to get this guy down to the club more often - even if it's just to be one of those grump old codgers yelling over the fence at training.

I remember his stoush live on 6PR with late GG. He called George a "fair dinkum nincompoop" :D:D:D.

I once met Percy on a cruise through the Pacific. Had a great lunch with him and was a highlight of the holiday. We sat for a couple of hours talking Dockers and and WA footy. Awesome.

Could set up a box for him. Something like this:

Not sure who the other bloke is.
