i guess i should declare my hand too and say that i'm a Perrie supporter - i gave him votes in the POTY against Melbourne and in 2? (i think) other games this year
he's never going to be in the top class but for all the positive factors mentioned by others in the threads above he more than does his job - one of the very very few in our team that can contest a marking contest legitimitely
IMO he is "trying too hard" (if you know what i mean) and consequently putting extra pressure on himself - i think that if he had more self-confidence in himself and played by instinct and imposed himself on the contest even more then he will be obviously a much better player ( i mean that he's capable of more than we're getting)
however i am perturbed this year by his kicking which has gone backwards
finally, i rate him highly enough to NOT even have had him
on my list of 15 retirement/delisting candidates at the end of the year
