Hi guys, just thought it would be interesting to hear some personal blue encoutners that some of you may of had. Was it a postive encoutner (which made u more of a supporter) or was it a negative experience?

Met Whitnall and Massie after the 99 grand final loss at a nightclub I'm too embarassed to mention. Lance was gutted and not very approachable, Massie was loving life & full of beans. Told Lance to keep his chin up and watch the meteoric rise of the mighty Sainters :D

I have come across many footballers in my day, mostly out and about on a fri or sat night.

Teaguey tried picking me up at Crown one night whilst my boyfriend was standing right next to me....

I used to be friends with Aaron Hamill as well before he ditched us... wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire now :D

Although he isn't a Carlton footballer, Kozi and some other St Kilda boys were in Echuca a few years back on a boys weekend away in the off season and Kozi shouted me drinks all night. Nice bloke actually :thumbsu: :)

Have met most of the current Carlton boys too and cannot say a bad word about them :)

The whole Carlton team use to come up to our family farm, Laurie Kerrs every year for a bbq and just a lazy day on the farm.

Supporters were welcome aswell and we usually had 50 or so supportrs, 40 family, 60 players and coaching staff most yrs. Will never forget those days and still have many pictures of kouta and i, clape and i, sticks and i when i was around 7 or 8.

See many boys out aswell, murph, mclaren, bentick, fisher are all at cheers a bit.

Another chance for everyone to catch up with Gibbs, Hampson, Grigg, Anderson, Benjamin Ackland, Pagan, etc and a few past players on December 7 at the "Whats in store function."

Will be similar to the farm experience, 7 players walking around in a very small crowd so you pretty much can talk to every new player if u want.

met Lance a few times at my indoor cricket centre, and i also played against him 2 weeks ago in outdoor cricket -- he smashed 114 lol

Have met jordan bannister when he was a bomber. it was at an essendon jumer presentation night and as my dads company sponsored him he was on our table. Nice enough to me, had a bit of a convo but then he left his gf to just sit there next to me while he went off for a few hours to chat to other players. She wasnt impressed. Also have heard that he tried to chat up a lot of the chicks around the club even tho he had a gf...

I got invited out with the boys in Sydney after round 22 this year. We stayed out drinking with them until very early morning and have lots of funny memories and stories. As said before couldnt say a bad thing about any of them...shouted me drinks all night and paid all taxi fares. It was also my mates bday that night she couldnt of wished for a better bday. I also occasionally catch up with them when they play in Perth.

Strangely enough, no Blue encounters (my namesake doesn't count).

A friend was going out with Michael Moncrief in the 80s. He was a nice bloke as I recall. I also sat on a table with Lenny Hayes at a Sacred Heart Mission dinner, and was immensely impressed with the guy. A total gentleman, and very generous with his time. It can't be easy being pawed by a dozen Saint supporters like a $5 mexican hooker. He's one guy I'd love to see in Navy Blue.

mate i wld love to see him play for my team if he is the biggest prick in the world. Tough skillfull midfielder that any team wld want

I have made mates with a few of the younger players this year. Although I am an Essendon supporter I've spoken to them in weeks gone by at a nightclub that I go to every Tuesday. Players such as Murphy, Kennedy, Walker, Fisher.. they are all top blokes. Mind you they are not out and about now that they are back at training, which is a disappointment but understandable haha. Kennedy is a great character. Me and a few mates were invited to Walker & Bannister's place to watch the soccer back when the World Cup was on, Walks gave me his address and everything but we didn't go because I was struck down with glandular fever just days prior. They are a very interesting bunch and I'm looking forward to hopefully catching up with a few sometime and also I'm sure Gibbs will get out on the town with them in about 10 months time. Still.. go Dons.. but I thought I'd share all that with you seeing it is the topic. Cheers guys.

caught up with the whole team after some of the grand finals at my local pub. Absolutely smashed, and probably not in the best of shape. Certainly werent what you would call well behaved. This has happened twice. have caught up with plenty of them around brunswick (seems like the shopping center up there is the local hangout) Kouta, Pearce, Campo etc. Have seen Fev around the local pub up there in his pre-married days, wont say where, wont say what he was upto, nothing bad though.

Used to see Kenny hunter a fair bit down in Lygon street , along with Percy at you know where !

Real question is has anyone ever caught up AND HAD A CONVERSATION with one B. DOULL ????

A few years back now, my ex was a lecturer at Monash Uni in Clayton, and was helping Prenda with his Law Degree. He invited us to the players end of season party at the HI FI Bar, and just about all the players were there.

We then jumped in a cab (Me, my ex, Prenda and Hoops) and headed off to the Spy Lounge, where we were ALL let in for free, and given drink cards on arrival.

Was a great night, had a chat to most of the guys there and they were all pretty good, except for Justin Murphy - what a smart arse!!

Get serious even the coach couldnt get a conversation out of bruce, how do you expect anyone else too.

Met SOS and Kouta in the Qantas Club at Adelaide airport after we got done by Port Adelaide a few years back (SOS was first year out of retirement and Kouta was out with the knee). I love both these guys but SOS was an absolute D**K - it's not the first time I've heard on how arrogant and snobby he is (know his cousin) but first time I've experienced it first hand.

Still lovethe way he played though and he's one of the best players I've seen in the navy blue. Kouta was good value....

Now I think of it a bit more, you're more than likely to have a blue encounter at Mil Hanna's cafe The Fitz. I've seen Kouta, Christou, Gleeson, and Fraser Brown there, and no, I didn't approach Fraser.

Mil himself is pretty friendly and up for a chat on quiet days.

Had long chats to Stevo and Murph after a training session in newcastle. Good blokes!
Also quick chats to AB, Simmo, Barnaby, lance and fev.

i saw adrian deluca crossing the street with his girlfriend in Port Melbourne not long back.

I see fev and his wife driving round Brighton a fair bit. Saw some of the carlton boys out prob the tues after the gf. Melbourne boys and Richmond boys were there too. They stuck in their own little groups and didnt mix with the other teams lol

no guessing that the club is in hawthorn.. near glenferrie road?

I was caught having a leak on Pagan's car parking spot at MC Hammer park by Kernahan around the time of the board-Pagan shenadigans.
He started clapping and told me to get outta there as the media were lurking around

was pretty funny actually
