It was awesome to be at Subi last night to see the Pies in full flight, especially when I'd say about 1/3 of the crowd were Collingwood fans.

I was late arriving but listened to the start on radio and thought that the Pie supporters were making about as much noise as the Eagles. I even got fooled when I wasn't really concentrating on the radio call and heard that Davis was caught holding the ball - thought it must have been Leon because of the crowd noise, but it turned out that it was the WC Davis who was caught and we had the free!

I've never been a big one for pre-season matches, but when you're a Collingwood fan in Perth it's always great to give the Eagles a belting, especially when you're there.

Well done fellas!

Was really upset that I couldnt make it. Had a mates 21st on which took priority. Though Sidey and Beams not playing made the decision a little easier..

Watching the telecast there looked to be plenty of Pies fans at the game.

I was pretty surprised at the amount who turned up for the match. 20,000+ is a pretty good figure for the opening match of the NAB cup.

Was at the game also. Always great to see Collingwood have a run regardless of importance or format of the game.

My In-Laws are WCE members and quite typical of the WCE member demographic (Think MCC).

They didnt attend the game as Leonard Cohen was playing the same night. Cohen is a 74 yo crooner (Living musical legend acknowledged). Tickets to his show range from $130 - $450, so I would assume all the Wet Toast members were there instead.

Many thanks to the club and Western Magpies supporters group for making tickets available to members. Most appreciated.

It was quite surreal to sit in a crowd outnumbered as we were, and yet the opposition supporters made such little noise.

And then to cheer as loud as they did when they scored a rare goal, made me wonder 'what the hell for?' It was like an artificial 'YAY', not even they believed it

Noticed the most noise the Eagles supporters made was booing Dids, FFS get over it, I hope that inspired him to play better....
