60K seats, expandable to 70K and then 80k.
The red material is corten- a structural steel designed to rust on the surface which in turn protects the steel from the elements. same as the barclay centre in brooklyn. Being a populus design the white material is probably a permanent fabric type- possible similar to allianz arena.

The only recent big infrastructure project in Perth that has been on time and not over budget is the Mandurah train line. Expect this one to be a couple of years behind schedule and $100 million over budget.

I'm a bit disappointed in the design though, I thought they may have gone down a nic nat hair inspired design
