Its about time this poll was made, theres been a hell of alot of debate going around about who is the best ruckman going around this year. Ill give ya a list of averages for both players throughout this year and let you decide.

Dean Cox
Avg - 17.5 disposals, 25.5 hitouts, 1 goal, 6.5 marks per game

Peter Everitt
Avg - 18.5 disposals, 27.5 hitouts, 0.8 goal , 6.5 marks a game

Factor in the fact that Everitt has spent somewhere around 10% (i think its like 9% its like 92 to 83% gametime) longer on the ground then Dean Cox has.

Who is the better ruckman people??

Both ruckman are excellent at what they do.

Everitt is better though. He's better at pure ruckwork and Cox has a far superior midfield to make him look better than Everitt's midfield does.

actually, if you'll look at the first post, the poll is based on this year. of course its not based on their whole careers, on account of spida starting his career with the saints at the time when cox was 9 years old and still a little takker at 6 foot 5

judged on this years results, (yes, just 10 rounds) they are pretty close, with only everitts superior tapwork putting him in front. cox beat everitt on their only vs though, and hes kicked more goals and generally been dangerous around the ground, so if you want to call it a draw, then thats probably accurate....

Everitt is a great ruckman....however he said it himself after the Hawthorn vs West Coast Eagles match in an interview - "Dean Cox is the form ruckman of the competition".
