Key Defender Peter Faulks last week signed with the Williamstown Football Club.
Faulks, who was drafted in the 2006 National Draft at pick 65 from the Calder Cannons to the Sydney Swans, has had a close relationship with new Williamstown Senior Coach Peter German, as they are both products of the Oak Park Football Club.
Joining the Casey Scorpions in 2009, Faulks had an outstanding VFL debut season which resulted in him finishing second in the Scorpions Best and Fairest.
The 21 year old, 195cm key defender played on the best key forwards in the competition including Aaron Edwards and Matthew Little in 2009 and will be a great addition to the Williamstown line up.

The Scorpions would have been devastated to lose a natural leader and last year's runner-up in the club's best-and-fairest. Faulks has slotted nicely into the Seagulls' line-up as a tall defender, mainly used at centre half-back on speedy lead-up forwards, but capable of playing at full-back on the bigger-bodied players.

Skinny defender who was listed with the Sydney Swans at one stage. Has come across from Casey Scorpions F.C this season and has been a revelation. Being named in the bests in 7 of his 15 games with a best on ground in the round 14 win against Northern Bullants. He has also managed to get forward and boot two goals, not bad for a full back. Not sure he is big enough to play as a key defender in the AFL, but he could potentially be a third tall defender in the mould of a Brett Thornton.

Recorded the best standing vertical jump overall (74cm) and a sub three seconds for 20-meter sprint (2.93) at the AFL draft camp before being drafted with the Swans third pick in the draft - number 65 overall - to fulfill the Club's need for a key position player. He has impressive speed, especially closing speed,
“He excelled particularly in the 20m sprint and vertical jump testing. At 195cm, he is a key defender who has a fierce competitive nature and elite closing speed,” Lloyd said.

I don't understand, he's 195cm?
