Peter Rohde "Our Mastermind" banner was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen !
Question : Who was responsible for this ?
Does it still exist ?
It should be in banners "hall of shame".

It made me think what other banners do you remember over the years that made you laugh ?? Or cringe ??

Monosyllabic. Simple yet effective.

In 2003 when it had become apparent that Nathan Brown was leaving, our cheersquad had a "Nathan Brown Bound For Glory" sign but the "Glory" was red and blue and couldn't be seen from across the ground.

It looked like we were saying "Nathan Brown Bound For ...?"

Guys, the answer you were looking for was 'Richmond'.

Am I mistaken or was that banner originally "Terry Wallace Our Mastermind" and then they updated it? Either way, one of the most memorable signs of all time

You might find it started out as "Charlie Sutton Our Mastermind"

I saw a book some years ago which was called "A Run-Through Of The Run-Throughs" - nothing but pictures of pre game banners, mostly from finals & GF's. Some of them in the old days were real works of art

I gotta say that most banners have been pretty tame and not very memorable in recent years, especially the Bulldog banners. What happened to telling the opposition how much they sucked and how badly we were going to pummel them on a massive banner that the cheersquad could hardly keep upright?
I think a few cheersquad leaders should watch 'before the game' on channel 10 and copy of few of Hughesy & Co's banners. There have been some rippers.

I remember a game back in the mid 90's from Sydney where, for some reason, every time a goal was kicked (at the other end from where the old fossils always sit) these two dudes unfurled a massive sign which simply read - "RECEIVES HEAD"

Seeing that sign for Rohde made me feel sorry for the Doggies but laugh at the same time. I thought if someone is holding a banner hailing Peter Rohde then there must be tough times. But I do remember before Rohde someone had a banner saying "wallace our mastermind" so it was probably the cheer squad or something just continuing this on for Rohde.

No need to feel sorry for the doggies these days though, things are heading right up and if you do get a flag i hope it is while Brad Johnson is playing.

I think you'll find that it was a guy that was doing it, not a girl. It was his mates at the game.

I like the "Adam Cooney: Full of running" - It sums up the creativity of the cheersquad nicely.
