Can not question his desire/heart. Plodder at best.

I have though noticed JJ's and MJ's and I think these guys should be in the gun before Pev.

Agree with what most are saying here. Pev tries hard and bust a gut 99% of the time but his sloppy disposal is starting to let him down again. He was good early on in the season when he was kicking longer but he has gone back to kicking shorter and his handball has been ordinary.
When you look at it blunty for us to be a genuine finals contender Pev would have to be our 5 or 6 best midfielder . He just doesnt have the quality disposal to hurt the oposition.
When looking at the disposals, and looking at the American Complete/Incomplete system (which is crap) then Pev's percentage is low... but that is the only person that we've looked at... if we looked at most of the midfielders they wouldn't have much more than 60-70% complete ratio... as if they are playing the same style as Pev then its either a quick kick out of the pack, and stuff like a kick to space for a player to run onto...
I'd say that Watson is definitely in the same % range as Pev, and once again it was only one match... I don't think it was right to compare to Hird, as the disposal is not in the same league, but even on the incomplete complete pass... hird probably wouldn't be over 70-75%...
The fact is Pev does get the ball the same or more than pretty much every other midfielder... if we take him out of the team and replace him a younger player or someone that isn't the same style as Pev, then we will be losing 10-15 possessions a game, which at least 7-10 will be complete, or 86% effective...
Doesn't seem like a good option... and the other point is that he can tag if we need him, and probably is our best tagger, so at least he's versatile
Pevs performance has been admirable ...
He will not play in our next premiership ...
He won't get a game once we get some experience into the kids with quick legs...

Spot on, you've summed it up to perfection. It is not really all about who is playing now anyway. My main problem with Pev isnt that he is currently in the 22. It is the fact that if we where a top 4 side you couldnt have someone with his disposal as one of your better midfielders. If we are to be a good side next year Pev and Jason Johnson would have to struggle to be in our best side at the same time. In a good side they would be they would be in the 6th to 8th bracket of midfielders. In our current side they are in the 3rd to 5th best area, with Pev leading the possession tally. You simply cant have that. You need a couple of your best 3 mids to be very good users of the footy.
We need some real changes in the middle as we dont do enough of the one percenters .
Not enough players know how to block and clear a path for their team mates at the clearances.
Becasue we dont block or are not as sharp at the clearances often the player who gets the footy is gang tackled or forced to handball quickly and not effectively.
Not enough sheppards are made.
Too many lead to the same space.
Becasue too many lead to the same spot there isnt enough options coming out of defence.
Too many have "me" moments where they just try and guard their own man and are happy to do that rather try and help out.
Our kicks inside 50 are very ordinary a lot of the time.
We are often happy to just stroll along 2 or 3 meters behind players.
