Pick 46 Hawthorn: Gerrick Weedon

Simply gone for best available with this pick. Weedon is a hard working half forward/midfielder. Tackling, defensive pressure and contested ball skills are very good, as is his awareness and decision making under pressure. Weedon stands at 186cm, but his strong marking means he can play taller. I'm expecting Weedon to be picked up around 35, so I'm more than happy to pick him up here.

Others considered: Ryan Harwood, Anthony Long

Pick 47 - Brisbane Lions - Ryan Harwood

Brisbane need inside mids, and whilst I did rate one player higher than this (not saying who), I think that Harwood would be a very good addition to our team. He is very much in the Brad Sewell mode, of good celarance player/tagger, he is a good tackler with an ability to win a lot of clearances, with his quick hands and good disposal. He is quick in his first five steps but he doesn't have much after that, and his endurance needs to improve, but he should at best became a solid worker but probably not a superstar. He has got a bit of development left, and could do with stacking on the muscle, he may play next year.

Sorry Typo, Swans4eva

Pick 50 Melbourne: Byron Sumner

After drafting Carlisle, Taylor and Gawn with their last three picks, it's the next best midfielder here for Melbourne. Sumner is a quick midfielder/half forward, with good goal sense and an excellent left boot. Plays in the same mould as Cyril Rioli.

Others considered: Marcus Davies, Mark Hutchings

Pick 51 - Richmond - Kyle Hartigan
Kyle Hartigan is a KP Defender that played for Western Jets through out the year. Kyle is a rebounding defender and should give some support to the young Backline richmond have. Was going to select Hooper at first but changed my mind and deicded to opt with Hartigan

Pick 53 - North Melbourne - Anthony Long

North could use a running player with a bit of x-factor and speed, Long has more than just a famous name he brings a silky skill set and an ability to break lines, two things North lack. He is similar to Wells in some respects with his style, although that is not necessarily a bad thing! He probably could work on his defensive game a bit and his kicking whilst above average could be tightened up. He has a ton of potential and development left and could turn out to be a beauty, but he could also fail, very much a high risk pick.

Pick 54- Sydney Swans- Dylan McNeill

The Swans go the local option here and opt for some grunt in the midfield. Dylan provides this. Had a fantastic U18 carnival and captained NSW/ACT. Plays a Sydney Style in and under and will suit the SCG great. Hopefully will be able to pinch him as a NSW rookie in the real thing.

Pick 56 Hawthorn: Jason Tutt

Next best player. Tutt is a rebounding defender, with excellent foot skills. Has decent speed and agility too. He recently compared himself to Gilbee, and I can't think of a better comparison.

Pick 57 Hawthorn: Sam Shaw

Was always going to take a tall with one of these picks, and ended up going with the one I rate the highest. I highly doubt he will still be available come this pick in the real thing, Matt Burgan for example has him going between picks 20 and 50. Shaw is an athletic and versatile tall who can play at either of the ground. Can play tall, or use his speed and agility as a rebounder.

Others considered: Dylan Grimes, Joe Dare, Myles Sewell

#58 St. Kilda: Dylan Grimes (Northern Knights) Height: 192cm Weight: 81kg D.O.B: 16/07/91'
Grimes has had a great year in the TAC Cup for the Knights and has impressed with with by not only shutting-down players, he also likes to break the lines and attack. Looks to be similar to Max Hudghton.

pick59-Joe Dare

The reason i have picked joe is cos he is in a lot of minds a late 2nd to 3rd round pick so to have him slide this far and he could play the nick maxwell type role

pick 60- Serhat Temal
need a kpf cos thats probaly what there lacking he may not have speed or athleticim but he would be a first round pick if the draft was based on kicking and markin

Pick 61 - Western Bulldogs - Josh Groenewegen
Launceston, 196cm, 80kg

The son of former Bulldogs ruckman Robert, Josh is probably a little short to be playing ruck in the AFL but his athleticism means he could at least pinch-hit while playing most of the time in a key position.

I know I've already taken Fitzpatrick but after cutting Skipper, Wight and O'Shea the Dogs need more KP stocks (don't they always?)

Is this game still going?
If so should we just skip Saints pick and continue with the game and when he gets on let him pick from whoever is left?

Sorry for the lateness of my pick.

#62 St. Kilda: Michael Barlow (Werribee) Height: 189cm Weight: 92kg D.O.B: 18/12/87

The runner-up JJ Liston Trophy winner seems too good to play at VFL level and deserves a crack at AFL

Pick 63 Melbourne: Marcus Davies

Quick midfielder/defender from Tasmania. Good skills, endurance and is a leader on the ground. He compares himself to Gilbee, but with his attack on the ball and willingness to use his body, I would compare him more to Hodge.
