At the conclusion of today's Grand Final, I will be hanging up the boots indefinitely, if not forever.
I've lost a lot of the spark I had for this place when I returned. The media landscape is pretty stagnant, the rookie recruitment rate is in the gurgler, and honestly, 5 years of doing SFAEW burnt me out on creating things on BigFooty. I'm just not engaged.
Most importantly though, I'm just not posting as sharply as I used to. My match thread post counts have been suffering despite my on-field antics, and I don't want to end up as another legacy list clogger posting once a thread.
I want to thank all the people who helped make this place a worthwhile experience over my 8 years here: KohPhi, Tony Lynn 15, TheCoach16, Hatchy1992, Blaze Storm, Pie 4 Life, The Half Back, Elton Johns Wig, The Filth Wizard, Dingster, Tigerturbulance, haydo, Millky95, Chipmunk, Agent93, Loonerty, serial_thrilla, Strigoi, DragoDelph, Bonz, ShaunDuggan, Callums_Guns, por_please_ya, Kennedy Parker, T2B_, and Scythe. All of you have helped me at various points in my career, and despite how melodramatic it sounds, I'm forever in your debt and I'll miss posting with or against you.
I'm sure Jabba73 or BLUEALLTHRU will have some poorly disguised sociopathy to spew about how they won't miss me though.
It's an SFA retirement, so there's a good chance that I'll be back eventually. I can't see that happening any time soon, but I know the door's always open if/when I do.
For now though... I've got a premiership to win before I go.
