I also still only have a 500gb PS4 so physical is still more practical for me.

I am just too lazy to upgrade. Will get a PS4 pro....one day.

Or you could just get an external hard drive. All my Xbox games are stored on an external 4 TB hard drive.

Physical for Nintendo because those hold value.

Physical for PS4 so i can trade them in before the value plummets. I dont trust Sony with digital purchases after so many PS1 classics and PS3 games were lost because backwards compatibility isnt #4theplayers.

Digital on Xbox. What they've done with backwards compatibility has given me full confidence that my library will carry over onto the next Xbox.

Old games no, new releases yes.

Buying God of War physical for $69 and selling on for $40 once I'm done with it is just a wiser investment than spending $99 for a digital file you never actually "own". At the end of the day i paid $70 less for the same game experience, day and date with everyone else. You'd be waiting years for that kind of discount digitally.

It isn't really a hassle, I trade mine in because I rarely ever replay a game. It can be worth it if EB have a good trade in deal on and the games are just going to gather dust.

If you keep on top of trading in while they still hold value it pretty much works out a free new release every 4 or 5 games. Not bad at all. Since going back to more PC gaming over the last 12 months I have actually noticed I'm spending more on games just because of the difference in trade ins.

so so easy to upgrade your console this way
went from a One to an S to an X over the past 6 months with zero issues, as soon as the console is online so is my whole library, no need to install games again

Digital on pc, physical on console so I can display them or trade in. I only buy really cheap stuff on digital console like Stardew Valley.

Physical whenever possible. Cheaper most of the time and has resale value.

Yep, that's my reasoning too.

I trade in a lot of my games so pointless going digital.

Ability to play games immediately on release is the only real appeal to that though

If the others start doing BC like Microsoft it'll be another boon to digital. It's nice being able to play my 360 collection on the One X without having to dig around for discs in storage.
