Structure looked pretty sound. Very good team effort to prevent the opposition good entries into their forward half (read: not forward 50, forward half!).

The young players looked good, particularly Tyler Brown and John Noble early. The BigFooty crew has chosen wisely with Tyler Brown I think. Will be a regular.

The defenders - Moore and Madgen especially - didn't get an opportunity to do too much but that's not to discredit the restriction they put on their opponents. Naughton was not ready to go however Moore was more than ready!

Not sure if it was just the way we were going about tackling in general but there seemed to be a real directive to make sure we tackled at least one of Bontempelli's arms all night tonight.

If I'm not imagining that, it was brilliant coaching, and even better implementation.
