What'd he do?
As I alluded to earlier, Gary Rohan shenanigans
I don’t know if he was sacked, but there was an incident/s

At least it wasn't for racism. That's a positive for us.As I alluded to earlier, Gary Rohan shenanigans

Can somebody remind me how many flags the Cats top up recruiting has delivered in the past ten years?

Very astute pick up. Geelong has stayed up and about for a long time and he will have some good insights.
Guess him being Wells Right Hand Man helps and I guess he is Coming Back as Troy want's a Promotion
One more than us?
Yeah he got pushed down the pecking order at the CatsRumour that Stephen Wells wanted him gone. Club was hesitant. Now that he’s gone.
Selwood gone expect Wells to be back soon.
Explains the meetings with the Geelong staff.
True there was the dual premiership team Scott inherited and got a third flag in his first year. They have been topping up ever since with a large focus on attracting local players to return home from other clubs. They have had considerable home and away success with that (also assisted by home ground advantage no other club has)...but still no flags and not even close really with the 2020 drubbing their only GF appearance since 2011.
I don’t really see the success stories there in terms of recruiting or talent identification. It’s not especially scientific and looking at their list I really only see a handful of players where you could pay genuine kudos to the recruiting staff.
Nah thats simplifying it too much. They have been very successful in attracting talent (something that we lack) and of course recruiting players to stay in the top half of the ladder for as long as i can remember. Credit where credit is due.
Stephen Wells is the kind of ruthless negotiator we need.
Robbed WCE blind for Kelly and turns it into a KPF.
Tells a club he wants an employee gone or he'll leave the club, club says no so he leaves - forcing the club to remove said employee.
This is true but nothing to do with his football expertise, it is a private matter.Rumour that Stephen Wells wanted him gone. Club was hesitant. Now that he’s gone.

F@#K that's a long sentence. I tried to say it all without taking a breath but failed miserably. Anyway, I hope you are right.Like a football club taking on an assistant that has worked under a successful senior coach at another club I'm sure a major reason for this appointment is the hope that Selwood has observed the methods and beliefs Wells has when it comes to identifying junior talent and alongside his own views he can add another knowledgeable voice to aid Hine in his work.

'He’s definitely the master negotiator.
Instead we got the bloke Wells squeezed out by resigning and telling the Cats he won’t return until he’s gone.
We got Selwood dumped on us by the masterful skills of Wells
