There been talk on the Board on there is a problem at small Forward for us and who will play there.

With Davis getting on in age and there is Injury Concerns with Rounds and Dick.

So we got 3 possible Players to do that in the Trade and Draft Time with Krakouer,Fasolo and Ugle.

My Thoughts on them:

Davis:
I still think he can play Small Froward as I think his days in the Midfield is over

Dick
- Would be great but It sounds like the Club is going to play him up the Ground

Rounds - Would be a Great Choice as he could get use to AFL Level footy there

Krakouer - Did a Great Job doing that early in his Career at Tigers and I recon he could do a good Job at the Pies but I think he will play in the Midfield

Fasolo - I see him more a Midfielder but can play Small Marking Forward if need be like Lockyer and Medhurst

Ugle - Perfect young player for this job but still Skinny but Still Could play some AFL Games.

Your Thoughts?

I think because we have had a bad experience with Dick that we are a little sensitive to slightly built guys. - case in point -

Take a look at a Bruce Lee film, when he's dressed he doesn't look like anything more than a slim well put together asian guy but anyone who knows martial artists knows just how powerful and tough he was even in comparison to other masters.

Build has nothing to do with power or toughness.

I don't think we have a problem at the small forward position. We had a weakness the small forward projections (ie 3-5 years from now) but for next year this should be a strength of ours.

Davis, Krakouer, Dick, Didak will spend a fair bit of time there, but in accordance with the new interchange rules, we will also see the likes of Sidebottom, Beams, Thomas go through there and youngsters like Rounds, Fasolo to go through as well if they can break in.

Also, Macaffer will serve as a defensive medium forward on marking third talls when he is subbed on (I believe he will be the ideal sub player for 2011) and will therefore take a position as well.

No problems with the small forwards for next year, TradeDraft, but most of these players will be gone in a few years and therefore we needed to draft some for the longer term (which we have).

Well Hine Drafted Ugle and Fasolo who can be used as Small Forwards

Yeah, that's what I said. We had problems pre-draft in the 3-5 year projection, and that was addressed through the draft taking 3 small / medium forwards with our first three picks.

I reckon Fasolo could play next season as he already played as a Small/Medium Forward in the WAFL Seniors last season

It would be great if he could, but I wouldn't think it likely given he is behind blokes like Rounds, McCarthy, Blair, Sidebottom, Beams, Krak, Davis, Dick, Macaffer, Didak, Thomas, etc. These are all players who would play either forward or midfield/forward over the next year for us.

I would love to see him, but am not expecting him to play this year.
