GWS v Essendon or Adelaide v Collingwood, hmmm. I'd like to know when the GWS game was ever going to be the better choice? GWS first home game, Sheedy v Essendon, sure, still not good enough reasons.

Going to be a lot of pissed off people during the week when they all finally realise that the Game of the Round is not on free-to-air TV.

And yes I have Foxtel.

It's on in Adelaide, albeit with an hour delay. But yea, you would think it would be a far more entertaining match then showing a match which will most likely will be the Bombers delivering a severe beating to GWS.

Pies will need to lift big time to beat these guys, our form hasn't been good enough this season to justify favouritism in this match and we are seriously injury depleted. Seems like we can't go a week without losing someone. As soon as we lost Swan last week we started to look very shaky in the middle, once again we're going to require someone to step up big time to cover, just as blokes like Sidebottom and Beams did when Ball went down. Do we have the depth? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Crows are the in form team of the comp, they deserve to come in favourites, not that who comes in with the better odds will have any bearing.

I posted earlier today on our board we would beat Carlton by 6 goals, I based that on our attack on the ball and ability to not let teams have space.

For this reason I think we can beat Collingwood as well.

They play our ground well, but we are a different side now.

Pies definitely have the disadvantage with injuries; Walker out is massive for us but as we showed today, we don't rely on him to belt teams. Heck, we didn't even rely on our second forward, who played pretty shit up until the last quarter, when the pressure was gone. So I think that they can definitely use the "injury depleted" card more than us, and if we lose we have no excuse other than we aren't ready to be as high up the ladder as we are.

I'm tipping against the Crows. I'd love so much to see us get over the line, but I was there that fateful day in 09, and I don't know if the image of Rutten's stupid hold on Anthony will ever leave my mind. ):

Was at the game today against the blues. We made Carlton look like a bottom 4 team, I expected a close game but was far from. We are playing that well at the moment that even us Crow fans are finding it hard to believe. Although we knew we had a good list.

Anyway point being, I said to a mate at the game, doesnt matter how many good club we beat, we always get overlooked.

Crows should be favourties for this game against the pies...easily

The authorities wouldn't have known at the end of last year that Adelaide were going to be in the form they currently are. It's all about GWS' publicity anyway. Play on.
