The execution of his skills were perfect, even if the decision making was a bit off. To be expected in a second gamer (anyone remember Hill's terrible second game?). But it looks like he knows how to play.

I hope he doesn't get dropped again next week.
Give him some continuity and game-time before some more senior bodies return later in the season.
I can really see him firing next year with another pre-season under his belt and experience from a dozen or so matches.

With that hand ball to Tambling, straight after he was involved, making up for that one mistake. He seems like he's got the "eye of the tiger"
buh-buh-buh. (noise of that song)
What I like about all of our drafting is how competitive all these young guys are, looks like they hate being beaten. Very very important.

Was just looking over a lot of the things said of Pitt in the Player Profiles and Drafting threads. Quite a lot of judges at the time compared him to Pendlebury.

Pick 20 for a Pendlebury would be a great result.

haha he looks realy great and obviously has brilliant potential but lets just cool off for a little bit.

This kid can play, no question. Although he got thirty odd touches he seemed very light weight, sort of like the kid at the back of the que. When we have to front the likes of Collingwood he is going to be pushed off the ball very easily, also seems a split second below AFL pace at his disposal. Huge upside and nothing a few 500gm steaks and feed of chips wouldn't fix.

Agree, I think he has the goods. He just needs to adjust to the tempo of AFL football.

People seem to forget that the step up in tempo/speed from U18's/TAC is huge. Hence why you almost always see new kids tackled from behind in their first few games.

As to his disposal. He is apparently regarded as the best kick at the club. So was Hill, however Hill had numerous shocking kicking games early on due to the pressure of AFL. His skills will come good in match situations.

Give Pitt time to get to grips with the speed and he will be a gun.

Somebody uploaded his first quarter v Adelaide and i am very impressed.
Some Journalists said you were in trouble i think Terry Wallace comes to mind... How wrong they will be.

Anyone have video of him from the weekend

He is very clean with his ball handling and use. I am impressed by his ability to read the play, get to the right position. With experience and a bit more size he is going to be a very consistent player. Skills are everything in todays game.

The only question mark I have is his speed. I am not sure if it is an endurance thing, however he seemed to have trouble keeping up with quite a few players at times. I would like someone to point out that this not the case?

I have to admit I thought that Michie or Mellington would get a game before Pitt. Once again Harves and the match committee have got it right. We somehow manage to find a skinny kid each year who can deliver for us - Hill, Fyfe now Pitt.

Pitt is the skinniest of them all! I am a little worried that after he puts on at least 15kg's, will he lose too much pace?
