I don't think so. The original Jemima from the 60s was white, and it was white all through my childhood (80s/90s).

Maybe they did a brief swap at some stage to try and make the toys more racially diverse. Not that I'm aware of though.

Jemima has always been white. I watched the first episode of Play School when I was a nipper and have seen it reasonably regularly over the years having kids spread over a 24 year period.
Maybe you're/they're getting confused with when they had Trish Goddard on for a while?:)

Jemima was and is white, I think hamble the plastic doll was black.

Hamble (purple spotty dress) was white.
There was a "inclusivity-slanted ethnic doll Poppy" who may have been black. No pics I can find.
 
l did a search the other day l only found one bl@ck jemima doll every other one was white.l am hell bent she was a white doll thanks for the posts guys.

There was definitely a black doll... I think..
My first instincts said Jemima was black but I dont know anymore

Jim was the black doll. But he was male.
