I was out with a few mates last night (at the harp in kew) and saw Murph, Josh and Luke having a beer. During the night i decided to go up say hello, (btw there all top blokes) And i asked them how the felt during the whole pagan saga and the media circus that followed. Murph told me that some of the players have had enough and if the board doesn't get the act together some players might look to move on. And contray to what people on this board might think, all the younger players want Pagan to stay because they feel it would be best for there development. Also heard that every1 down at the club are rapt that Tony Eligshau (dont kow how to spell his name) got the flic.

Not saying if I believe the info or not but who knows what players would say especially if they had consumed some alcohol.

Which Luke - Blackwell? or Livo? - If it was Livo I would not be surprised - but am assuming it is Blackwell. shouldn't he be off the grog until after this weekend? How was Josh going with his lung, inhaling the stale air of the Harp of Erin, could not have been too good for him?

I'd believe it the Carlton boys used to come into the Glenferrie Hotel, many years ago and would always open up after a few beers, just like the Hawthorn boys did too (does anyone remember the Hawks brawl there? ha ha). Justin Murphy never spoke though, he would just pick fights!

I'd imagine the players would be sick of the club being a laughing stock and I can believe they think Pagan is good for their development, after all this has been his forte in the past. I feel like this thread may have merit because let's face it, who even bothers to bring up Elshaugh on their own accord? Sounds like something plausible. We will see next year depending on who the new assistants are.

You mean training reports reported by track watchers on websites Effes? Can you tell me more about the ones you are referring to? Is Elshaugh reported as being good, bad or indifferent?

It wouldn't entirely surprise me if that was the case. After all, the players are only human, and younger players especially may not be aware of their responsibilities when speaking to a member of the public. As for Elshaug, he was never an outstanding assisstant, more like a hanger-on tagging along with Denis Pagan when he moved from North. No great loss. Would be surprised that Murphy would comment that players are thinking of moving on- that might be a slight exaggeration- but could perfectly understand the younger players being frustrated as the mess at board level- most of them would have equal relationships with Barry Mitchell and Pagan.

Yeah, so you were obviously at the harp of erin last night then? i was there too, and was happy to see all the boys out together. Bit of a buzz to see scotland, murph, fisher, JK, nick stevens and simpson all in the same place.

As you'd have seen, pretty much every collingwood player was there too. (oh no our guys r mixing with the rabble)

Was gonna go have a chat at one point but didnt end up saying anything.

Interesting that murph was saying that the players are disgruntled. Cant really blame them for thinking so. Just hope we dont lose any great prospects due to our boards incompetency.

I honestly can't believe 3 senior players would say that to someone who just walked up to them in a bar. But good try anyway.

Well hes not lying about them being all out together last night, i saw them with my own eyes. as for what the boys said to him, we'll have to take his word for it.

I never said I doubted that he saw them out, I just doubted that they would say that to someone they didn'y know.

Im not suprised the players were so honest. Ive spoken to both Josh and Luke before and they are terrific young blokes. Ive always found that when you see players out they are preety honest. I can remember few a years ago fev told me he was convinced that he was going to be traded by the club. Its great to hear honesty and not the spin that goes on through the media.

When I was younger frequenting Pubs, you'd run into the odd player here and there. You be surprised what they tell you in private.
