collard is training with the dockers bad news in some aspects

If Carlton were interested in him, and committed to him, then i've no doubt he'd sign up as it'd assure him a contract.

But with that said, Carlton probably has somebody else in mind and will keep quiet until Richmond commit to a player.

Are we keeping a player under wraps so that Richmond don't them with their no.1 pick? Or theres no one at the moment, that we have asked to come down to train with us?

I know Richmond have done some stupid things in the past but what incentive is there for them to commit to someone prior to he actual draft day. None!!!!! If they had half a brain between the lot of them they'd wait and stay non-committal till last minute......IMO there will be no major player up for grabs and I hope we get a young goer!!!

G'day buddy,
I have actually heard greg miller has contacted justin Charles as a player development coach:D. He is asking him to mentor Jordan mcmahon and danny meyers. Expect them to look like Hewitts sister by March 2008.

One thing is that Richmond cannot afford to take the risk in waiting last minute....

What if another player whom is not the one we might be after comes on offer? How do they know that player is not the one we're after? So although they hold the number 1 card it may be a risk not to commit.. even for marketing purposes if they land a decent player it is good for the morale of the team and even the player they are taking to know things a lot sooner.

Not if a better prospect comes along - will again be ridiculed on recruitment!!! Crazy to comitt - have nothing to gain...

We invited Chris Judd to come down and train, not sure if he took up our offer though.

Anyone?

I think he is training with us however Has Been Barlett, Mrs Miller, Terry Wallet and their merry band of delusional supporter continue to think they are in the box seat :D:p

At the end of the day every club gets a list of players who have nominated by a certain cut off date. There is no such thing as "hiding" a player when it comes to the PSD.

Ahh yes of course, silly me forgot about Richmond's box seat position in regards to Judd.

Wakelin, Rocca, Burns..............is their a rule that says you can't use a walking stick on the field.........if so these boys might struggle.:thumbsu:

Poor logic.

Think of a good player out of contract. Would he announce that he is leaving to go to Richmond without a contract and commitment from the Tigers? Richmond not signing anyone up just shows how much they're struggling.
