Kobe Bryant hits a three on the buzzer, Lakers win 105-104 in 2OT.

Playoff picture is as follows:

East:

Indiana V Boston (Indiana in a Canter)

New Jersey V New York (Neither team deserves to qualify for the second round, but I'm picking the Nets in 7)

Detroit V Milwaukee (Detroit in 5)

Miami V New Orleans (On Form and Home Court Advantage - Miami)

West:

Minnesota V Denver (Minnesota in 5)

LA Lakers V Rockets (LA in 5 or 6)

San Antonio V Memphis (Probably the best match-up of the first round. I think San Antonio in 5 or 6)

Sacremento V Dallas (On recent form - Dallas. Home Court Advantage - Sacremento. Hard to call, by I'll go Sacremento in 7)

Rapt that we missed the Lakers.

Anything we get in the playoffs will be a bonus, but taking one game off the Spurs would be a wonderful end to the season.

Some good little match ups in there. Great to see Miami finish up there and my highlight of the playoffs will be Yao and the Rockets against Shaq and the Lakers. Yao always plays well against the Purple and Gold.

The other highlight is the Grizz.

East:

Indiana to sweep the C's
New Jersey in 6
Miami in 5
Detroit in 6

West:
Minnesota in 6
LA Lakers will sweep Houston
Dallas in 7
Memphis in an upset in 7 games

...and the Fort Wayne Pistons.

I can't remember the last time that the Hornets entered the playoffs on a losing streak. With today's victory over the Wizards, the Hornets continue that run.

I am excited about the Sacramento and Dallas match up. Unfortunately, having five killer teams in the west, along with the red-hot Memphis side, two of those six teams will be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

Indiana should sweep the Celtics.
New Jersey in 5 (Nets probably won't lose a game on home court)
Detroit in 5
New Orleans in 6 IF Mashburn returns.

Minnesota in 5
Lakers in 5
Spurs in 6
Sacramento in 7

East:

Indiana (sweep)
New Jersey (Forget recent form. This is what they've been waiting for)
Detroit (Too strong)
Miami (I actually think N.O, but I've been on their bandwagon all year. Heck of a job dodging Detroit)

West:

Minnesota (Will survive the first round, but Denver will give plenty of cheek)
LA Lakers (We'll see if they were just bored the past week or if even Phil can't control the egos. I suspect they'll lift a notch or three)
San Antonio (Winning is what they do)
Sacremento (Hope for Dallas, but home court gives Sac the edge. Harsh for whichever team goes out.)

East
Pacers in 5 games.
Knicks in 7 games
Pistons in 4 games
Heat in 6 games

West
Twolves in 6 games
Lakers in 4 games
Spurs in 5 games
Kings in 7 games

What's all this garbage about NJ - NY being the most pre-anticipated series, you've gotta be joking? NJ will sweep them.

Kings - Dallas is the way to go. Neither team have much D so I think you will see some high scoring affairs. As much as I want the Kings to sweep Dallas, I'm not to confident in winning the series...

My predictions

EAST

Indiana vs Boston
Indiana in 6, Pierce destroyed them last year.. I think though Artest will limit his influence this year and the Celtics have no answer for Jermaine

New Jersey vs New York
Nets in 5. Knicks have no chemisty, the Nets with Kidd, Jefferson and K-Mart will be too good... too tough for the new Knicks.

Detroit vs Milwaukee
Detroit SWEEP. Milwaukee are not too good upfront.... Rasheed, Ben, Campbell, Okur will rip the Bucks apart.

Miami vs New Orleans
Miami in 6. Miami are an awesome team. The Hornets are hurt and falling.... I think Miami will do it pretty easily maybe even in 5 games.

WEST

Minnesota vs Denver
Minny SWEEP. Denver too inexperienced, dont have enough fire power to beat the T-Wolves, Carmelo cant do it on his own.. but its a miracle they made the playoffs in the first place. Whos gonna stop KG, Sam, Spree, Wally World and the Kandi man??? No one..they'll be NBA champions.

LA Lakers vs Rockets
Lakers SWEEP. I dont care how good Yao has been against Shaq during their regular season meetings...nothing beats playoff experience, Shaq will destroy him. Kobe has got something to prove and they will rip apart the Rockets.

San Antonio vs Memphis
Memphis in 6. San Antonio are so overrated I think Memphis with their depth aat the swingspots and some decent big bodies upfront along with 2 good point guards will create the shock of the first round and knock off the Spurs.

Sacramento vs Dallas
Kings in 6. Both teams have hideous D, but I think with C-Webb and Miller upfront and hopefully Peja and Bibby hitting their jumpers they should get through on class alone.

Finally the real stuff....cant believe the Bulls didnt make it :D

Pacers v Celtics - The C's will be lucky to get a game off them. Far too good.

Nets v Knicks - Nets much like the Lakers just sort of wait for this time of the year, should have little trouble with the Knicks. 5 and done.

Pistons v Bucks - Much like the first two matchups, Im not expecting much of a fight from the Bucks. Might get 1 game out of the Pistons but Detroit are far too solid on defence to let 2 games slide to clearly inferior opposition.

Heat v Hornets - Best first round action in the East. Should go 7 but Im picking the Heat. They are just gelling at the right time of the year and the Hornets are hurting. Watch for a big series from Magloire though.

T-Pups v Nuggets - Cant see any mind blowing upsets here. There is a large gorilla that KG wants to get rid of and I think you will see 4 very large games from KG to sweep the gallant Nugz.

Lakers v Rockets - hoping for the Rockets to at least make a series of it but I doubt it. Yao still a year or two away from really dominating but then again it depends what Lakers show up? LA in 6.

Spurs v Grizz - Spurs in 4. Duncan to lay down the law!

Kings v Mavericks - Tough one to call. I would naturally say the Kings but with them being in horrible form then I dont know? Mavs did them last year but only once Webber was down? Will Sacramento wake up?? I think so. Sac-Town in 6.

Lets get it on!!

I cannot believe that for all the teams you follow none of them made the playoffs.

I think it may be easier for you to support a concept like the draft rather than follow a team.

All reasonable points until asking who is going to stop Kandi Man.

He stops all by himself.

Big Erv Johnson is a better centre and he only plays half of the first quarter.

Don't know what game is on....But in the book it says it's game 1, which obviously they all are....And it starts at 9AM

I went to the site to check it out, and it says 7AM....Since the book is done at the start of the month, and the site done regularly, I think it may start at 7? Stuff that. ;)
