Lot of positive talk about werewolves within. Online social games that's meant to be really fun but price is $45.

Anyone on here played it. What's your thoughts.

Bought it Saturday night. Like the old Mafia game if you know it. Very funny & social. It is a shared platform with Rift & Vive so that is surely a great step for the future of VR. I played with alot of Yanks & Canadians... the whisper ability is very cool!!

So what is it exactly. I get that players are around a circle with the objective of finding out who's a werewolves. But how does it play. Do you get questions made up. Do you have to make up questions. Does it go around a circle and ask a question or is it something else. Not sure what it's really about and how it works to see if it's something I'll be interested in.

Everyone has an open mic on so you just talk. Each player is given a role - some have powers to find out the roles of some players. But you have no way of verifying their news. Very hard to describe. I played for about 4 hours Sat night and had a sore face from laughing. The game developers are really showing the Vr capabilities and i believe you won't be upset with the download. the only thing pissing me off at the mo is the fact i cannot buy many of the games on disc. All the good indie titles like Rez, Thumper and this one is i had to download.

Really want to buy it as I love Werewolf, but that $45 price tag is too much. I'll wait for a sale.

Tried to finish batman today, got up to the asylum ages ago and turned it off because I knew I'd shit myself. Let's just say I didn't last long enough to get to a new checkpoint. ****ing hell...

So far this is what I've got and my mini review on them.

Rush of blood- great game, great price and one of the best looking experiences

VR Worlds- not for the price it's just quick mini games in one. Sony should have bundle it free with the VR. London Heist and ocean decent are good although quick. Not worth it and not much replay. Should be $10

Werewolves within- actually pretty fun online social game, not something I'm really into as I'm a quite person and find it tough with these type of games but can see why it's one of the best vr games with replay value although I'm crap at it.

Batman- one of the best experiences but very quick. Only $20 so for how good it looks it's ok and with motion controllers it plays very well.

Here they lie- I actually think this is one of the best games on the VR, it's scary and keeps you interested. And a full game. Only letdown is graphics but with the black and white settings it doesn't really effect the gameplay. Nice game

Journey- I could not get into it. Just didn't find it fun.

Fruit ninja. fun holding two swords and being a ninja works well but that's as far as it goes. Not really something I would recommend as it's just chopping fruit and getting a high score arcade style.

Holo ball- fun game if your into tennis.
Thumper- tried it but not into rythem games
Perfect- crap and waste of money.
Roller coaster world- crap and waste of money
Windlands- not a bad plat former. It's pretty much point and click style. Would rather have control like robot rescue demo.
The assembly- crap, looks horrible and story is aswell, waste of money.

Agree with a lot of what you've said there (as far as I can only comment on the ones I've tried - which is only 2 actually).

Rush of Blood - It was good at first but it's frustratingly difficult in places and very repetitive.
VR Worlds - Agree this should have come as a demo. London Heist was great. Would love to see a full game. I also got quite addicted to Dangerball as posted earlier but the other stuff gets boring quickly.
VRRacing - Once again it's a good taste of what might be but it's not really what I'm after in a racing game. I like damage and modding/upgrading cars n stuff. This has none of that.

I'm really hoping there's some good titles in the new year because there really isn't a lot that grabs me atm. The VR is spending most of it's time just sitting there.

On another note, did the new RE7 demo last night which looks pretty promising but I was under the impression it would use the move controllers. I didn't see any option for those though. It was just dual shock. If that's the way it's going to be it's a little disappointing right off the bat.

Yeah same with mine, just been sitting there. I really just want full game experiences. I liked the resident evil demo aswell and the controller I'm ok with as I know if they go motion then it limits the ability to explore with no analog. That's what they need more then any game right now is a motion controller with an analog stick built into it. Then we can see full game experiences. I'm talking open world games ect.. red dead redemption VR that would be awesome.
Not convinced they can build large open world games for VR and if it's anything more then just a gimmick. I want big budget games like GTA 5 and Far Cry 4 on VR.
If they dont have the ability to make large story driven games like that I feel it will fail. Only way forward is to change the motion controller. Or bring in a total new controller for it.

Yeah agree with all of that although I doubt we're going to see open world stuff with this incarnation. I think the real value will be in racing/flight games until they can come up with a way to make open world happen. Having said that I was never expecting that kind of experience straight off the bat because of the limitations you describe. I'd be happy to see some really good racers/flight sims. I think I read somewhere there's an ace combat planned for vr? I was also hugely curious about valkyrie as it looked right up my alley but have only read withering reviews of the single player campaign so have been reluctant to purchase (still ~$60). If they bring out a game like Flat Out: Ultimate Carnage I will be like a pig in the proverbial.

Yeah your probably right. I'm expecting to much too soon. Thinking of this like the ps1 when it came out. This is just the start. And I really want it to do well as it will bring developers in to create bigger and better games. The idea is continued improvement down the track and hopefully they bring out a psvr2 and psvr3 and so forth with bigger and better experiences as it goes forward.

Can't wait to try GTA5 on the psvr4 in twenty years hahah nah but you know what I mean.

For now it's ok. Some games coming out this year I'm looking forward too.
Farpoint
Resident Evil
Paranormal activity
Everest VR
Ark Park

So last night I created a US ps account to see if its better and was surprised by the difference. You guys probably already done it but if you haven't it's worth doing. Takes like a minute. Think this is something all VR players in Australia are all going to have to do as the Australian store for VR sucks and the delay in releasing games is a joke.

The US store has lots of other interesting games. I expect you to die and all other sort of Vr games and at a fraction of the price selling for at the Aus store.

Now I'm thinking about starting a Japan account to see what other interesting games I can get.

Any word when VR units will be available next? Had a quick look at JB and EB and they are only taking pre orders. Both just saying TBC 2017 at this stage.

What is holding Vr back is lame game ideas ....it will get better I think

There's good ideas, there's just not much development at the moment for fully fledged games.
