the AFL makes my blood boil now.

Rocca two weeks - ultimatly cost us one game thus far and equal second position on the ladder with 9 weeks to go.

Leo Barry - Same incident and nothing done.

Quote from the AFL:
The contact between Sydney's Leo Barry and Geelong's Cameron Ling, which left the Cat onballer dazed and off the field for much of the second term, was deemed unreportable as the bump was made to Ling's chest and was not possessing excessive force.

Get stuffed, now they are just making things up. I didnt know you could be knocked out and miss half a game by getting bumped in the CHEST?

I just dont understand and i am starting to believe in those Collingwood hating conspiracies.

Although extremely disappointed with the Rocca verdict it gave us a chance to give Ben Reid a game which he prob wouldn't have got otherwise.

As for the Barry bump, thought it was fine, the diff was the bump appeared to make contact right down the middle, minimal if any head contact. Also that Ling protected himself a little better than Dempster and was not leaning into it.

The radio commentators said it got him in the jaw, hence Ling being dazed. I would have thought the jaw is effectively part of the head. We studied them at the same time in anatomy. :thumbsd:

If the radio commentators were making comment at the time of the incident they wouldn't have had the chance to look at it 100 times on slow mo replay like we and the MRP have since the incident.

Not questioning you views on anatomy but a good hit down the middle could also have had that same effect of making him dazed.

Yeah I am so annoyed not even looked at properly he should at least get a 1-2 weeks . Where's the precedent? None whatsoever the Tribunals will always point out the wrong doing of the pies but never the swans e.g Barry Hall 2005

i also must stress i dont think either of these incidents are reportable, it just annoys the hell out of me from whats happened.

Was more like the Wheatley hit from round 1 on Luke Ball.....hip and shoulder up the front, then became head contact.

I thought Rocca's was only a free kick, but at least we know (I think) what is deemed reportable.

IMHO both were only free kicks......but I aint the tribunal.

It's simple the tribunal panel must automatically issue a penalty to a black and white jumper. There have been plenty of precedents for hits like Rocca's. In all seriousness the tribunal system is very flawed and needs a complete review. They can all get stuffed and suck my plums.

Rant over.
