The only thing Melbourne needs is a rowing course. This site could work, if you can get something at least 2.4km long on the angle. What's the wind like? Bit of a flat area near the bay....might not work.

Oh well, we could always do with another velodome.

Just out of curiosity, how is the point cook stadium going.
It's been 6yrs since this thread first popped up.

Can't say I've ever seen a new stadium there.
