Who would i vote for, its a bit tough to just spit out a name.
JB's approach seems to be one where he knows he has the arsenal, is saying lets not start a war because you will be humiliated and the city may suffer.
All this without unmasking his allies, his battle strategy or much else for that matter. Like all of us, he knows the winds of change are growing.

I'm not really a fan of the 'I'm here, i want to president of the Collingwood FC', and take it with by way of coffee with the incumbent.
Becoming prez. by negotiation just doesn't sit with me, conjures up a hint of privilege and entitlement.

Would seem he has quite a bit to offer, let it be seen and heard, the sentence or two he has uttered really doesn't meet the cover charge.

I think the question is who would we vote for if the whole Board is spilled as that new Board will then pick a President. There will be 7 spots to fill.

Without knowing who is on the Browne ticket, it is hard to say. At the moment, both Korda and Browne appear to be ego driven entitled individuals fighting over a favourite toy.

I would be inclined not to vote for either of them to be on the Board - Korda is too associated with the mistakes of the past during the Eddie era (especially as the finance guy who should have been strong enough to stop silly decisions that involved large, long term expenditure (such as Grundy's deal on which the Board signed off). Browne also seems to me to be too associated with Eddie and a bygone era and I worry about governance continuing to be a problem. Both of them keep mentioning Eddie, and he says he has spoken to them both. Enough said.

In my 7 directors for the Board, I would vote for Murphy, Sizer and Licuria as they seem have taken actions that evidence that they can put the club first (ahead of their own egos) and have effected real change. I am not sure about the others and it would depend upon who else ran.

Holgate: Maybe. Has good executive experience but would have signed off on recent decisions and has had a lot on her plate with Aussie Post drama.
Wilson: Maybe. Good CV but unknown.
Bridie: No.

At the moment, I am 2 directors short if I vote for Murphy, Sizer, Licuria, Holgate and Wilson. I would be looking for skills and experience (legal, finance, marketing/digital/customer engagement as fan engagement is terrible) and of course, support of the club in the majority of the directors. Lets see who else is on the Browne ticket.

Interesting because our club definitely doesn’t.

Its easy to make up a cliche and say thats the plan though.

Just its easy to come up with the cliche of saying we should do what "insert name of reigning premier here" is doing

Only one team will win the flag. Seventeen teams will reconsider their plan.

The mob over the rail line did exactly that, you allude that it's not something we should strive for? Is that your angle?

You're one strange kid Jack, you go on like flags / dynasties aren't the be all and end all. Yet you constantly defend the club against numerous posters on here for warranted criticism directed at the club.

Like you're defending like a loyal guard dog the mediocrity of the club, doesn't add up.

Anyway I'll wait for the next short question reply that really is a deflection of the club anyway.

Enjoy.

Where have I ever said flags aren't important. All I've said is that there are other measures of success. You can't accept that.

I'm not a defender of the club. They're big boys (and girls) and can take care of themselves. That's just another example of lazy thinking. The old "disagree with me so you must be a defender of the club" or the "don't agree with me so you must think everything is rosy". I will however happily challenge what I consider to be wrong or just plain stupid assertions.

Pert came out and said something similar. Gale got lucky, Pert not so much so but 2018-19 was close.

Realistically, every club is planning to play finals every year with the occasional justifiable exception. At the start of every season, some teams are more likely to realise that, some less. Coming off the 2018 season Melbourne would have thought they'd be a certainty for finals in 2019, finished 17th. Going into this year, Essendon, Carlton, St Kilda, Giants and ourselves would have been very confident of making finals, Sydney potentially less so given their 2020 and their list profile. Swans seemingly the only team among that group who'll make it at the 1/2 way point of the season.

As I've said elsewhere, I'd expect my club to be aiming for finals every year and for there to be new silverware. I'd be disappointed if Anderson was to come out today and say we plan to win 2-3 premierships in the next decade because I think that denies the potential to win the other 7-8 on offer. I know we won't likely win 10 from 10, but that is what I expect the club to aim for. I don't need or want that spelt out in crayon.

Ok how about being better than the competition,? I've never stated flags are the only, no one does.

Yet every time I criticize with warrant, you challenge my view and defend the club. Same same, whichever term or word you wanna use.

You're still doing it now . No skin off my nose, just pointing out your 'I don't care' bs is exactly that , bs

LOL, because much of what you claim as criticism is nothing but self entitled crap so it's got nothing to do with defending the club, it's just highlighting that you're posting crap.

There you go replying again about you don't care about, like 'self entitled crap', I know you don't care but how do you correlate that with criticism? - it doesn't make sense. Just because that's your opinion doesn't make it right.

You can look up thesaurus's and dictionaries online if that helps.
