One aspect of our game today which was pretty shoddy was our field kicking - lost count of the numbers of turnovers from this. Often errors came when there was no pressure.

Disappointing, but something which can be improved.

Cant agree, the standard of the ground did hot help the players out wide although I do think there was some silly 'mental' errors made.
Generally I thought we used the ball well. A lot of our boys were spent in the last Q because of the injuries and not being able to run players on and off the bench during the game like we normally do and I think the errors mounted up then.

Fair enough - I only saw bits of the last 2 quarters with no sound.

I'm with OldSchool on this one. I thought the guys handled the ball crisply today, with good disposal overall. There was a period in the second quarter where they overused the ball, but other than that there was a huge gulf between the two sides in skill levels.

I was most impressed with the committment of the team to tackling, and what a revelation Eago was! Wasn't afraid of the tight stuff at all, and looked very good. Hahn was impressive, I thought, too. The usual output from Westy, Johnno, with a blinder by Smith.

As someone else stated, I can't remember feeling this flat after a good win. I guess the only bright part is it will force the development of a younger player that would not have had the opportunity, and this is not a bad thing with Chris getting toward the end of his career.

If we make the finals - no, WHEN - then, who knows, maybe a miracle will be performed and Chris will line up at CHB to lead us from the wilderness. One can only hope.

I also thought we used the ball well. In the second half and particularly the last quarter, the boys were obviously tired and the errors crept in more.

Eagle was excellent in the first half. And I have to admit that Wiggins took a very good mark.

Bulldogs1, if you felt flat today, how did you feel after Round 5 last year??? I thought it was a great start to the season and I feel very good, unlike a certain other person who lives in my house. :(

Chris is a BIIIIG worry, maybe it isn't so bad......

Oh, don't get me wrong, Curly. Great win, and things ARE looking bright for the squad. Just can't help feeling depressed about Chris.

Whadya reckon he gets a truckload of get-well cards this week?

We did have some bad patches of disposal but Geelong was worse.
Their backline looked shaky at times.

We applied heaps of pressure, thats the thing I loved.

In the 2nd quarter I think we rested on our laurells a bit, and played our old round the boundry game.

#rd quarter must have got a rocket from rhode, we played on at every opportunity up the middle of the ground, lots of turnovers, but geelong failed to capitalise.
