Also think its worthy of a thread. i guess there is nothing we can do it about it but if we only complain when we lose then we get labelled poor losers.
they werent just poor, they were horrible. goal after goal from direct and indirect decisions.

the best i heard, "you jumped too early, you jumped up and down before the ball came down" since when is that a f***** free kick, aslong as you dont impact the other ruckman on the way down.

anyway im off to celebrate.
 
Excellent thread! Was thinking this was going to be the first tigers game I have seen in 20 years where we were good enough to win but umpires denied us. Happily, that wasn't the case!!!
 
Shit both ways at times, last qtr was very ordinary. Still reckon Jack gets held a hell of a lot and it doesn't get picked up. Mind you Rance got away with a fair bit at the other end, as most full backs do. Have to say if we had of lost on the back of the Griffith's 50m and free against the Mullett for holding at the center bounce ball up after he won the hit out WTF?, I would have popped a cork.

If you want to focus on their 4th quarter comeback, yes, the umps gave them a nice ride but I enjoyed the response from our men on the field far more than to reflect on the maggots.

It was just a bad game. As some have mentioned I don't think the game as a whole was favored to one team or the other, I'm sure a couple of main board muppet saints fans will disagree though! Thought it was 50/50 in the first, we got a ride in the third and then the umpires tried to bring the Sainters back in the last. The holding the ball rule has become soo bloody laughable it's that inconsistent.
 
We won, we have 4 points and we made a solid mark on the competition.
Enjoy it, have a beer, find the girlfriend, and go like Tigers!

I can see the point for a thread if it was one sided and/or cost us the game, but it went both ways and both teams could ask for some please explains from the AFL.

But I don't think we need to make threads having a go at the umpires, an hour after we won the best game of the year so far... really.
Just let them do their job, it's not as easy as it might look from the TV.

****ing umpies shit me to no end !!! The big girl is having a cry all bloody game and then in the last quarter the umpire down his end must have started to feel sorry for the big pansy and was pulling out the frees left right and centre.... tried his best to get the Saints up.

While I didn't think they were favored the walking vagina does piss me off. Still sooks despite getting free kicks the likes of Carey, Brown and Richo could only dream of.

Yep agree with you Darth, Tigers supporters around me were going bananas at everything as usual and usually were proven wrong by the replay. Admittedly I don't go to games between other teams very often but surely we must be the least enjoyable team for umpires to have to umpire, they get booed off every game regardless of what they do.

Felt for Jake King.

He is a bloke trying his best with limitations knowing that he is not going to be able to do what others do.

He has to rely on harrassing and putting pressure. That is what Hardwick has stuck with him for.

Must make it very hard to know how to go about it. The marking spoil that got paid against him was a great effort and well executed. The umpire just assumed that he wouldnt be able to pull it off without infringeing.
 
I thought the umpiring was pretty solid. Didn't pay too many soft one's either way and the only time they were noticed was in the last quarter when Nick Reiwoldt got his free's. You can't in any way pretend the 1 that resulted in him goaling was dodgy.

I just wish NMFC were going 30% as well as the Tigers, I certainly wouldn't be complaining about a free kick differential of 7, I'd be out all night Hookers & Blow stylin.

Dream time game was 9-1 in essendons favour at one stage, I thought we got more dogged in that game. Leroy push in back. Then heath hocking droping the ball...no free paid.
Today last qrt was pretty bad but we did play pretty good I must say :-)
 
Towards the end I was saying bad words and wishing bad things on the umps.

Best thing was, they had no bearing on the win you blokes had :)

Enjoy it. Savor it. Bottle it up over next couple weeks and then unleash it on the crows in AAMI...thats where the umps will test your will to live!!!

Great win.
