Not much to report, large bulk of the squad look fit firing and ready to go for the WC game.

Didak was with the main group early and looked fine but seemed to disappear halfway through the session (pretty sure he sat out the later stages of the session). Might be a little way off yet?

Bucks was there but did not participate fully, was just on the sidelines going through skills with staff and John Anthony.

Anthony participated in a little bit of training but none of the heavy stuff and then worked on skills.

Dutchy also didnt participate running laps and a few sprints, assume on a modified training program until it gets closer to his return in round 6.

Egan trained and had no plaster or signs that his thumb was affecting him.

All others trained well and looked ready to go.

Very impressed with Wellingham and D.ick, both seem to have the speed and skills that are needed at AFL level.

Nathan Brown looks to be getting stronger and stronger, like the build and look of him. Reid was also there, he appears to be getting stronger and looks to have great athleticism for a fairly big bloke.

Cant read much into this session (or any training sessions at all for that matter) and wouldnt really know who will be getting a game Saturday night ( would be pure specualtion on my part if I was to attempt such) but fire away with any questions and Ill see if I can answer them.

I'd bet on no change, stick with winning line up.

Otherwise they might bring in one of D.ick/Nicholls/Egan for a bit more run and leave out Wakes.

Egan appeared to train fine to me, he's somewhat of an impressive mover and athlete.

Whether he's got enough game time and match play to come straight in for Saturday night though Im not sure.

Odds are he plays with Willi this week Id say.

Id also like to see Bryan in the ruck but suspect Mick will stick with Richards.

I'd be backing MM to pick Egan, he has a history of picking guys who play well against a particular team, & Egan has been at the forefront of our wins over WCE over the last couple of years

Given that your post is apparently pointless, can I have the last 60 seconds of my life back please?

Would be great to see Dick get a run on Subi. Just to see what he is made of. May be able to hurt the Eagles with his run.

Who do we drop to bring in **** (by all accounts he played very for willi.)

I hear Egan is playing for us. Do we bring in Bryan?

ins- egan, ****? Bryan?
outs- wakelin, richards? .......?

Gees Wakes gets a rough go doesnt he. His opponent didnt get near it on the weekend and he dominated against Thompson in the NAB Cup.

Bar Maxwell taking a pack mark and kicking a goal he was his very ordinary self for the rest of the game again. He aint big enough to play on the key positions and he doesnt have the run of Harry to play on the 3rd more mobile tall.

If Lynch is spanking Presti like he did last year, Id much prefer to see Wakes go onto him than Maxwell who he would snap in 2. Hansen is a chance to be back too.

Compared to your post which simply flourishes with meaning and purpose.

I'll gladly return those 60 seconds of your life if you use them wisely running in front of oncoming traffic

What an idiot, no-one forced you to read it and I'm really seeing a lack of quality output your providing. So until you produce something even half as decent, keep your critical, meaningless and idiotic comments to yourself.

Bring in either D1ck or Nicholls, the run they should provide is essential for us at Subi. I'd like to see them both playing, but we can't just see this game as a youth blooding game. Preferably I'd like to see Nicholls as I think he's better prepared after having a year at Willi, but I would still love to see D1ck provide some flare ;)
Licca struggled last week, and I have no doubt he's going to struggle again, but he won't get dropped yet. We can't expect 5 changes after a first round win. So licca stays, as does Richards for the same reason. And plus its obvious MM wants to go witht he Richards/Fraser combo, where as Byran is simply security. They need time to test and see if they produce anything together. Here's to hoping Richards steps up.

Egan back in because we really need he's run. Probably should have to earn he's spot, but I personally think we really need him on the big Subi ground. Wakelin out simply to meet match up requirements. I agree he played really well on the weekend, but WC don't have a stack of damaging tall forwards and I'd prefer to keep Maxwell and O'Brien for there run.

So in the end

In: Egan, Nicholls
Out: Wakes, ...? Licca seems most likely IMO. O'Brien might be in trouble

Well said, ill second that.

Unfortunately somebody has to miss out for either one of Egan/Dick/Nicholls and Wakes could be in strife. You have to think like Malthouse would - Licuria won't get dropped on one performance, Davis has got a good record over there (at Subi) and Maxwell, in Mick's eyes, can pinch-hit in the forward line. Anyways, Wakes shouldn't get a gig on the basis that he is Presti's backup. Presti is as good of a full-back as anybody going around, on his day, so Lynch will have his work cut out for him.
