From an outside view I deemed the actual incident as an accident. No doubt they were trying to rough him up during the match but this one was just unlucky.

Watching your young players get bashed from pillar to post all year and then hearing one has a "bruising of the brain" does tend to fire me up somewhat.

Facts:
1. Porps had been targetted all day. Thorton and a few others especially punching his shoulder, deliberately bumping his right side every chance they go during stoppages in play. (and like Springy I am supremely disappointed we don't have a team spirit of protecting guys like porpy in that situation. proud we don't play dirty but gee I woulda love to see someone have sat someone on their ass earlier).

Teams that are close normally fly the flag for each other and/or look to get some sort of payback when one of their own gets unfairly dealt with. The AFC youngsters look close, some of the senior players - hmmmm i'm not so sure.

What was Browne going to do genius? Run through two players to get to his opponent? Go and follow netball. Browne will get off on appeal or at least reduced when the dust settles and Demetriou is satisfied that as usual the AFL is seen as not the rabble it is.

Pity, we could have picked Browne up in the pre-season draft, if his club suspended him for protecting himself. haha
