What a disgrace that the police commissioner is part of the crows board.
He’s supposed to be a completely objective and impartial community representative.
They've had one of the assistant commissioners, now retired, on their board for years.

What a strange thing to be worked up about. It’s hardly like he’s out there ordering the arrest and public persecution of Port supporters.

In reality, it’s a fairly weak skill set for their board.

The only time it should've been consider an outrage was in 2020 when they were dodging legal restrictions around COVID.

Not just AFL based restrictions.

They now have the current police commissioner and a former assistant commissioner on their board. Two people whose entire professional experience has been working as a public servant for SAPOL. While this was probably beneficial in the COVID restriction breach it's not going to be very beneficial in much else.

"... SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens this afternoon said the incident would be dealt with "by providing advice and education" to the club and players. ..."

According to Glen Stevens profile...

He has experience in counter terrorism, community programs, drug and alcohol management and human resource management. He led the police response to child sexual abuse from 2004 and also domestic violence in the community.

With all that first hand experience he appears well suited to the Crows Board.

Our previous Police Commissioner is now the Governor of WA, so Mr Stevens has got a ways to go yet.
