Back to the WAFL to play with either his original club, the Perth Demons or Peel Thunder.
Seems to have shot himself in the foot if it was more money he was chasing.
If it was the Go Home factor,he has got his wish.
I'm pretty sure it was the go home factor otherwise he wouldn't have limited himself to Perth and Adelaide teams, and he wouldn't have been talking to WAFL teams either. I am a little surprised but that was always the risk.Back to the WAFL to play with either his original club, the Perth Demons or Peel Thunder.

They would with this article surfacing:They would not have enough Money to pay him. That's what I have read
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...at-port-adelaide/story-e6frf9jf-1226215620574A week after the Power lost both major sponsors, VIP Home Services revealed it would sign a deal worth about $1 million if the financially crippled club agreed to take Fevola or Leon Davis in Tuesday's pre-season and rookie drafts.
The Port Adelaide Football Club confirms that it will not be selecting Leon Davis in next week’s pre-season or rookie drafts.
Port Adelaide general manager of football, Peter Rohde, said the club had explored the opportunity of picking up the 30-year-old, but after considering all factors had decided against this path.
“We’ve had a lot of discussion about Leon as we have worked through all the options,” Rohde said.
“Leon has been a great footballer, but on balance we have decided that he’s not the best fit for the direction we are taking as a football club.
“With our decision now made and speculation arising from Leon’s confirmed nomination for the pre-season draft, it’s the right time to declare our intention not to go with him.
“Leon wants to continue playing football at some level, and we wish him every success.”
Here the article from port themselves.
Port Adelaide currently holds pick no. 3 in the Pre-Season Draft which will be held next Tuesday 13 December.
Davis now looks certain to have ended his AFL career and learnt yesterday that one of his preferred WAFL homes, Swan Districts, would not take him because of the cost to that club's salary cap points.

Part of the attraction of Swan Districts was a development job with BHP, that is gone. Looks like Pickering has really killed Leon's career.
Maybe he should have picked up the phone when the club tried to call him.
Jokes aside Fremantle/West Coast and even I'd argue Adelaide are making a mistake not drafting Davis. Can play forward, back, midfield. And to a high level. Has another two years left in him and is still producing to a high level.
He can absolutely make any of these teams better and even if Adelaide for example say "we aren't going to win a premiership over the next two years" it doesn't matter, as a team you play to win now. No playing group sits down and says "we are playing to finish 10th or 11th" they all want to make the top 8. Regardless of who they are. Clubs have come from nowhere to win premierships or to climb the ladder and this year is as good as any.
For clubs like Fremantle and West Coast it is even more surprising that they overlook Davis. Just came off an AA season. Forget age. Look at his numbers, look at his games.
I'm with moneyball theory. Fremantle, West Coast and Adelaide should be looking to invest in Davis. St Kilda, Fremantle, Sydney and Melbourne should be looking at Fevola.
Knightmare nailed it with his post.
It's astonishing how supporters actually fall for the crap like "not in our next premiership" line when the fact of the matter is, you still have to play for the now.
Supporters and players want to win games of football- period.
It's mind blowing that Gavin Urquhart is going to be chosen instead of Davis in the PSD and it is purely because Port won't have to take on any of his contract because North are committed to paying it.
2 All-Australian jumpers in the last 3 years in different roles and playing as good as he has ever been, yet nobody wants to take him.
So sad.
Interesting to see if Leon would walk back to us with his tail between his legs and ask for a rookie place.
