Look yesterdays loss had nothin to do with carltons form .

To put it quite simple theres certain teams carlton can beat and certain teams they cant beat ..pure and simple ..and essendon is one of em ..they just cant beat essendon ...just like they cant beat freo in subiaco but they'll beat collingwood dont worry about that

that loss last night was really bad thats gonna sting for a while cos seriously it was quite comprehensive

There isn't really any. The entire team seemed to go missing after we got 14 points up. I really don't know why, the one positive that's been there all year is that we at least stick with it til the end whatever the score, we even gave a yelp against Adelaide after being goaless for a half. Last night though, we basically curled up in a ball once the going got tough. Maybe the break didn't help. I dunno.

Eddie and Setant were good in the first half.

I didn't realise that Irish could take a good grab, he took 3 or 4 contested marks in the first quarter, he has been a real positive for us since coming back into the team.

Austin has been doing a solid job for us in the backline and when his body developes he's going to be a real positive for us in the future. He also has great closing speed.

Clutching at straws here. The only positve to come out of the game is that we got a heap more evidence as to why Stevens needs to be delisted at the end of the year.

It wasn't 100 points margin as it would've been without Judd - I don't give a fcuk what people say about his game - he was in our best 5 and because he's judged against HIS best, people have a tendency to criticize a "sub-Judd performance. Without his run, presence and tenacity, I have no doubt it would have been a bigger blow out.

Apparently there are 8 other teams who 'deserve' to be in the 8 less then us, so by my calculations we do 'deserve' to be in the 8.

Port won't beat the Cats, so we'll stay there, but somehow we don't belong there, nor will we make finals

We will make finals, even if it is in 8th place, and all those saying we won't/can't/don't deserve it will be cheering along with the rest of us, saying how they knew we would do it...

We deserve to be there - based on our seasons form excluding last night. However, if you're just gonna focus on last night, we really don't even deserve to be in the league.

Hopefully last night was a one off and we return to the at least having a go next week. Really don't think I could stomach another gutless performance like what we dished up against Essendon.

Carrazzo did the job that he was asked to do (as usual) and shut down Stanton, restricting him to 3 touches in the first 3 quarters, before Carrots was moved to another player. (Stanton then went on to accumulate 16 more touches in the 4th quarter with someone else tagging him).
