While I agree with everything else, it's hard to spot who else Harvs can bring in. By my calculations, the only blokes he hasn't tried this year are Haselby, Webster, Browne and Bradley. Murphy and Thornton are genuinely crap, Mundy is just out of confidence and Schammer has lost pace. I'd add Macca & Mark J. Michael J & Dodd have to be stretching a friendship also I would have thought.

Positives? We should be a decent price against the bullies.

Well who cares, coz at least it shows the boys I mentioned that we are not going to put up with this crap anymore.
PS i know that Thornton & Murphy know this already, but there is readymade replacements.

In 2006 we were smashed by Geelong at home going into a bye when we were tipped by most to win. Geelong didn't make the finals that year. Freo was rightfully slammed by everyone in the media and talk back radio and came out and won 9 in a row and made the finals.

Today we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. There is also a bye next week for the Dream Team game. I expect Freo to be slammed by media and talk back radio for the next 2 weeks. IF, and i stress IF, we come out and win SOME games in a row as a result of this humiliation then thats a positive.

I'm not sure that the playing groups psyche is quite right IF this does happen.

Harvey now has the oppurtunity to warrant cutting some of your inconsistent players you guys have had for years

Pavlich is Elite and you have a few good players but you have some real duds

Still think your final 8 material but no way will you get the oppurtunity to play a GF with your current list

I saw you guys play Geelong live and the effort put in that night was somewhat herculean, the team spent every last petrol ticket and then some.

I thought physically and mentally you would struggle to come up the next week regardless of the opposition. The effect of this came into play in the second half yesterday with the incapacity to shut down a team with a run on.

I know its difficult to be rational when you lose when you have been 50 points up in a game but I think the above excuse is reasonable and I give you every chance of beating the Bulldogs in a couple of weeks.
