i listened to morell on SEN last night and he said that livingston is a good chance to play on friday. Walker might play but the signs dont look good. IMO if livingston is able to play we wouldn't need setanta.

i think we should bring norman in anyway because i think our defence was a bit depleted last week and if our defence if firing i recon he might be worth a try to rest fev or whitnall if needed

Gee, if Livo is right to play this weekend the God's must be shining on him. Looked as though it was a long term injury when he went down.
Bring in Norman no matter what, he should be an automatic starter and he can also play a bit down forward if our defence is okay.
Chambers for Walker would be a good inclusion as well.

It is great news that it is not serious, on the day it didn't look good at all.
Livo seemed to be grabbing his upper leg to me, i thought it was a broken leg. His reaction was certainly odd considering he may play this week.
I'm not convinced Norman is such a certain inclusion as people seem to think, especially if Livo plays. Essendon are down on goal scorers at present and i don't see Norman as a reliable, accountable defender. I think his run, his second efforts and his kick are fantastic, but i don't like the idea of him playing on a tall leading forward. As such, i woudn't automatically include him this week.

Ankles are easy to re-injure, so Norman's inclusion is a must. Walker won't play, so Simpson would be his replacement. I also wanna see Bentick in the side, but not sure who should be ommitted for him. I would suggest Prenda but it aint gonna happen.

I agree. I thought he was pretty poor on the weekend but he was asked to play down back where he never normally plays. A spell in the VFL wouldn't be a bad idea. He is still pretty young and ruckmen are fickle things, they can take years to develop to a stage where they will run amok on an AFL footy field.

If he could kick he'd be just about my favourite player. But I'm starting to think enough is enough. Eventually we have to find someone better who won't have a clanger for every 2nd disposal.

Norman has to be included, regardless of Livo being in the side or not. We are short enough down back without Thornton and you saw what happened when Livingston got injured last week.
I don't know the full story on Chamber's injury but if he isn't right to play I agree with the Bentick call for Walker.
Could it be time to give Russell an early run in the seniors?

norman should be a Start up for sure...regardless of if they have some talls out, he can still play smalls. the advantage of norman on a small is he is quick enough to match them for pace and he is also able to out mark them with his height, He can also play talls with his athleticism...i hold him in high regard and see him as a key to our team...must play rest of year, as he is still developing...simpson seems like an appropriate player for walker, similar characteristics. BACK TO NORMAN...HE MUST PLAY!!!
